Lust. Lust like never before. Sex available like never before. And, it is not enough that it should be simply available – you must worship it. It is the great unifier – anybody can have sex with anybody else. No matter what sex, race, etc. and we all know “the age barrier” is next in line.
It is the finale of every human social event for the urbanite. Going out for the night? Going to prom? Going to travel overseas? Going to college? After all, what better end than fleeting pleasure? Not to mention with the modern saviors of birth control, dating apps and the cultural push that it is harmless, available, and free. What’s the worst that could go wrong?
Of course, it’s not harmless. No matter how many lies they tell you, or artificial chemicals they use, they will never have the power to make it harmless. If you read nothing further, at least exit the page contemplating why someone would use this “harmless” culture of lust as a weapon of war. The Lord does not imply, but states many times, that sexual immorality is wrong – that only man and woman, in holy matrimony, will become one flesh. Yet, we (yes, it is “we” that endorse it through action or inaction) have told ourselves that we know better. That we have “evolved” past this archaic notion and no longer need biblical truth or wisdom.
Despite our progressive evolutions in biology and culture – this truth is still built into our design. Birth control can lead to infertility, casual sex destroys a woman’s ability to pair-bond and semen retention leads to higher testosterone. As always, our biology reflects God’s Law and God’s design. And, these are just some of the simpler and easier effects of our lust-worshiping society – the majority of our people’s wounds are deeper.
The severity of this weapon’s impact on the spiritual and mental health of modern men, women and families could branch into many more essays, but there is not enough time or space to review that here. It is one cause, among many, from e-thots to incels and from trannies to the porn industry; note that each of these ailments cascade down upon others. I don’t want spend any more time on the darker side of the lust-worshipping society, such as the grisly connections between infidelity, divorce rates, abortion and mass shooters. Just consider that with each space in a child’s life – especially, in their vulnerable, developing years – that if there is no God, there is room for a false god. And, those who worship false gods, like lust-worshipping, will always try to drag others down to join them.
Most of us may not have known the magnitude of the damage, or may have even chosen to ignore it, but even instinctually we knew, deep down, it is a problem. The sellers of modern sex culture never show it, but it will always be a shallow and temporary replacement for what should be meaningful and eternal. Satan can only imitate – he cannot create. He cannot create a healthy and stable life, like what comes out of a godly marriage. Not with all the drugs in the world can modern mockeries, like homosexuality and transsexuals, create life. But, imagine how badly they want to will their fantasy into reality – a demented Chimera, a lab creation that is “just as good as the original.” They gnash their teeth at godly men and women in envy and hatred, they pour their will into trying to make the lust-worshipping stronger and more pervasive. And, those who have become lazy with God will fall farther and faster down the slippery slope.
This was not written to depress, this is to inspire. Blackpills are common today, but true marching songs are almost extinct, so I bring fuel for your fire. I see this as our mountain. I see it as our frontier and our Goliath. It is everywhere – a monster with no corpus, no physical form. This push for perversion stands before us as a leviathan of seemingly endless size and power. Yet, that makes it pervasive enough that each and every one of us has a chance to conquer it almost daily.
Every small, seemingly individual, battle against your own lust is no less than a skirmish in the war for the soul of Western man. Every encounter with a thot, every bored and lonely night with your phone, every chance to not let your co-workers or friends try to normalize distasteful public discussions of fetishes, porn and perversions is a mental battlefield. Never in human history has lust had such a powerful presence in the daily lives of every man, woman and child. However, with that there comes a unique and compelling challenge.
Our ancestors never faced a threat this metaphysical and impressive. They never faced this kind of incomprehensibly difficult quest. I imagine that the greatest and bravest among them – the ones we still tell stories about – would envy a chance to test the iron of their will against this beast, just as they yearned to test the strength of their sword. A monster has emerged from the swamps of the Boomers’ “free love” and lethargy to take center stage in every man’s life.
It was imagined before. It was the centerpiece of legends – in a time where a temptation this powerful could only be imagined as a wood nymph or sirens at sea. But, in the poverty of our imaginations, our ancestors could only anthropomorphize it and collapse it into one or two forms. Even the greatest writers among them could not imagine having access to simulated sights and sounds of real sex with the world’s most beautiful women beamed down right in front of them in times of privacy and vulnerability. And, that is only porn – not to mention hook-up culture, acceptance of fornication or the future of virtual reality. Imagine describing this behemoth to Odysseus – the envy he would have felt to test his will in such an internal, personal and restless conflict.
Gentlemen, we are lucky enough to still live in the age of dragons, one so dangerous they cannot be understood as flesh and bone. A dragon that is only vulnerable to the collective rise of an iron will in a godly nation. But, fear not! We have our good book. We have our heroes. God equipped every man with a sword and shield to fight temptation and reduce it back down to its original ugly and shriveled form, it is a mere imitation of real genuine love.
So, do not cry for easier or purer times. The devil has always tempted man before and will until the end. Be grateful that the scales have fallen from your eyes and that you can see the ancient invisible serpent of lust for what she really is. Be grateful for this test and a chance to realize the strength of your will, even if it is a sad sight. Be grateful for a chance to stand tall and victorious above all those weaker willed men and women, those who will fall and call for you to join them in their sin.
Be filled with the spirit of the dragonslayer and the spirit of the saint! Go forth, bold and courageous, like the men before you! Refuse to bring porn into your life. Refuse to normalize transgender monstrosities, homosexual marriage and general thottery. Refuse to engage, refuse to endorse and refuse to be another reason for someone to give up the higher goal of courage in the face of temptation and pressure. Anything that is a perversion of the holy bond between men and women is another head of this hydra.
It is not easy and I fail often, but being a Christian was never meant to be easy. Remember that one defeat doesn’t make a loser. A loser is someone who quits, someone who quits like they want you to – because if it isn’t obvious by now, they want you to think you’re a loser. Their enemy is a man like you who will not sink to their level. Be warned, because it will raise their blood to have someone shine light upon their sin. But, there is reward for your struggle – and hopefully it will help you attract a good and godly woman.
Conquer the false god of lust, defend yourself and your family against the weapon of pornography and ignore the siren call of the lust-worshipping society.

O I’m a good old rebel, now that’s just what I am. For this “fair land of freedom” I do not care at all. I’m glad I fit against it, I only wish we’d won, And I don’t want no pardon for anything I done.
A very fascinating article, and very well articulated in linguistic sense. Inspiring, even.
I personally may not share the same view of God as the author, but I completely sympathize with the author’s warnings on lust, the new idol of modernity. Thank you for the article
Very inspiring article. Speaking personally, despite knowing the dangers and evils of lust and that we should resist it it’s often very easy to fall back into our sinful ways. As it says in Job “man is born to trouble, As the sparks fly upward”. Suffering is part of our existence and these difficulties can never be avoided. In such times powerful passages like this article here and those in scripture can rouse us and return us to righteousness once again.
