Why Did The Great Compromise Last So Long?

One of the most important concepts in understanding the relationship between Dixie and the United States, specifically from 1877 to the early 21st century, was the Great Compromise. The Great Compromise was born from the struggle of Southerners to save their land after the fall of the Confederacy. Although they were not able to achieve their goal of a free and independent Dixie, through over a decade of hard work, our ancestors were able to draw concessions from the Yankees – concessions that would be the norm for decades after the end of the War Between the States. This Great Compromise was built on two pillars. The first pillar was home rule – though Dixie would remain in the United States, she would enjoy a great deal of self-governance. The second pillar was that Southerners could retain their own identity and remember and honor those who fought for the Confederacy. In exchange for this, Dixie agreed to remain loyal to the Union and send her sons to Uncle Sam’s military.

The first pillar of this compromise was undone between the years of 1948 and 1965. This story is important, but it will not be my focus here. Rather, I will center on another question. The first part of the Great Compromise was finished in 1965, but the second pillar of the Great Compromise was not undone until much later. It would not be seriously attacked until the early 1990s and it would not be until 2015 when a full assault would begin on Southern identity and our monuments. Why did it take our enemies so long to come around to attacking the second pillar, after the success they had with the first one?

Part of the answer is that attacking the second pillar was always going to be more difficult because our identity is far more personal than even local autonomy, it hits at a far deeper level and is harder to destroy. Ending home rule could be achieved from the top down. Remember, home rule was ended with rifles and bayonets pointed at schoolchildren and parents. However, to end the second pillar, it would require a “long march through the institutions” – slowly but surely weening Dixians away from their Southern identity and molding them into generic Americans. That’s why the takeover of so many formerly Southern and very conservative schools in the 1990s was so critical.

But there is more to understanding why it took the Yankees so long to go after the second pillar of the Great Compromise after ending the first pillar. When the first pillar was destroyed, the United States was in the Cold War and, more specifically, embroiled in the Vietnam War. The American Empire knew that an attack on something as fundamental and deeply held as Southern identity would cost them their most valuable soldiers, an understanding that lasted until the end of the Cold War. It is no coincidence that the first mainstream and open assaults on Southern identity began in the early 1990s after the Cold War ended. Now that the United States was the world’s only superpower, there wasn’t a demand for the skills and bravery of a Southern army, thus the destruction of the second pillar of the Great Compromise could begin. But then 9/11 happened, and once again the Empire needed Southern boys raised in the swamps of Louisiana and the mountains of Tennessee, to say nothing of the traditional Tidewater officer class, for their war effort. Plus, the newly minted War on Terror and Patriot Act held the attention of the Left, cultural issues were not the major concern at that time.

The Iraq and Afghan Wars went so badly that the U.S. was forced to ostensibly withdraw from the War on Terror, meaning that there was less of a need for a Southern military. This indicated the Yankees could go back to undermining the second pillar of the Great Compromise. To make matters worse, Obama, far more ideological and anti-White than his predecessors, now lead the federal government and began to take more aggressive actions. This included destroying the traditional conservative Southern leadership of the military and replacing it with a leftist one. With all the chips in place, all that was needed was a pretext – one that the Left received thanks to Dylann Roof.

But this does lead to one final question. If there is an inverse correlation between the Empire’s need of a Southern military and attacks on Southern identity, then why are the attacks continuing even as tensions with Russia and China increase? It is a good question, because if there ever was a time the U.S. needed its Southern boys again, it is now. Instead, the United States appears hellbent on alienating the South even more, something that appears to be working if recruitment numbers can be used as a guide, which is likely for the best. Ultimately, what this comes down to is that, while the Empire may have been run by Yankees, especially since 1965, it was not run by anti-Southern ideologues. Our rulers may not have liked us, but they understood that they needed us. However, this is no longer the case. The regime now really does believe they no longer need Southerners to fight their wars. They think they can win a war with their parade of oppressed identities. The utter humiliation the Empire suffered in Afghanistan suggests this is not the case, yet the Empire is ready to send this same army against Russia and/or China.

If you are younger than a Boomer, you have spent much of your life under only one pillar of the Great Compromise. Although we lost home rule in 1965, we were able to keep our identity. The reasoning for this was largely two-fold, the destruction of Southern identity was always going to be more difficult than ending home rule. The fact that they needed us to fight their wars further protected the second pillar of the Great Compromise. But now, those days are over, they really don’t think they need the Southern janissaries anymore. Thankfully, they appear to have gotten their wish. Southerners no longer have a desire to fight for a nation that hates them. The Empire is about to learn the hard way, in a war with China or Russia, why Dixie is the backbone of the American military. They are about to learn why they need us, and we are about to learn why we don’t need them.

  1. Good. Also keep in mind 1. Power has become more and more “centralized” over time to where it’s ( still, but ) less, “Yankees,” and more “Child sacrificing satanists in Brussels and other “deep state” scum. 2. Possessed Jews took over media and academia doing the bidding OF satan and his imps.

I’ve encountered MANY 20 and 30 somethings who are 100% brainwashed by media. They all get a false awareness imbued into their air heads from places like Facebook. 99% of anything right of center has been banned from Gaybook so the airheads truly believe the majority of society is “left and woke.” THIS is what we’re up against as we attempt to “fix” the last 2 generations.

Education and separation are the keys. Educate all whites … separate from the ones who cling to their Gaybook ( etc., ) brainwashing. Remember all the wiggers marching with hood monkeys during the BLM “peaceful protests?” Yelling at and assaulting other whites? AS CSA II is being formed and once it IS formed … they’ll have to be weeded out and deported to Republics more suitable to their … delusions.

    Education
    And
    Separation

    1. “AS CSA II is being formed and once it IS formed … they’ll have to be weeded out and deported to Republics more suitable to their … delusions.”

We’ve got a lot of house cleaning to do here in Dixie. Lots of scalawags and carpetbaggers to be dealt with.

  2. One trend that I am finding troubling is the automatic adoration of military and law enforcement that does not consider the validity of what they are protecting.

I have had co workers say t me “Thank you for your service” That service was decades ago.

    1. That’s in decline though, and in rapid decline at that. After 2020 and J6, fewer and fewer on the right think they can trust law enforcement anymore. That opens the right up to seeing itself as an insurgency, the kind of mentality Sam Francis said they would have to adopt 3o years ago.

        1. That is encouraging. And Sam Francis was a visionary as we look back. Have a good evening sir.

  3. I am always thinking about why and how the South survived as long as it did, having Highly Decorated Southern soldiers in my history, I’ve always wondered why they would have fought for the Yankee empire?.
I truly believe it was to keep the South intact for another reckoning with the North.
Having ancestors who migrated from the Azorean (Portugal) islands to the Hawaiian Kingdom as contract laborers to work the Sugar plantations, I have seen first hand how Mono-culture, as in Monopoly culture destroys Native Stock,(did sugar plantations pretty much end in the South after the WBTS?) the yankee Sugar/pineapple barons just stole the Hawaiian islands and destroyed the Kingdom of Hawaii modeled after England and looted the palace, (you can still buy the artifacts at the thrift shop if you’re lucky) and reduced the Hawaiian people to wage slaves and second class citizens.
The famous Massachusetts’s Puritan, pineapple Baron Dole called my people a bunch of Niggers. What I’m getting at is the Hawaiian people have all but disappeared from their islands, the Spirit of Aloha is all but Dead now.
I know the Brave men of Charlottesville had their Wings clipped by legal terror in TPTB’s fraudulent court system, it was a wake up call for all of us to how entrenched these Soulless characters are. Isn’t their any Southern Strongholds left? Obviously Charlottesville is occupied territory, why not rent halls for a true Southern revival in Christ and all that is Sanctifying in our Bill of Rights that keep us free as Gods Children. Lead the way, restructure the land, give the Africans their own territory to fish and hunt, raise crops and livestock and to be Men again, you’d have an Army of them supporting you, wouldn’t you? Isn’t their a lot of Federal lands in the South? Take it back and give it to the people in the truest sense of the promise of America. Flood their occupied lands!
Beat the Devil at his own game!
Southern Whites are not the only losers here, the whole planet is at stake!

May the Grace of God light your path through these dark times.
I may add. You need to appoint your own court and Judges now, discuss this in the meetings with the people you attract to the cause, take control of the Law and policing. Leave the insanity of the moneyed powered court system.
Judgement Day will be on our side!

    1. We did it through sheer grit, we produced generation after generation of men that would not be broken. Thank you for your comments.

    2. Outside looking in: are you familiar with Ken O’Keefe? He’s spoken to how the American Empire trashed the culture of native Hawaiians … and given an honest perspective on many other historical events.

  4. The long march out of the institutions is how we cripple a deceased empire to fatality.

    Well done sir.

    1. One major advantage the left has is that it’s willing to play the long game, the right has to learn to adopt that mentality.

  5. I think you all forget our present circumstances. We have jab deaths accelerating, food supplies getting tight. Do you really think these parasites on society will be able to weather such a storm? They couldn’t go a day without the ” grocery” store feeding them. But we can. We can.

    1. The North is vulnerable to having foodstuffs and fuels from the South and the West cut off. For a century, the railroads have run the Pacific Fruit Express, and other produce trains from California to the Northeast. Tropicana runs orange juice trains to big distribution centers in New York, Ohio and Indiana.

Pipelines carry natural gas and heating oil from Texas, Oklahoma and the Gulf Coast, to Northern States. Then there are the lignite trains from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming, and from Colorado, New Mexico, and to a lesser extent, Texas and Oklahoma. And last, but not least, hard coal from Appalachia. However, Pennsylvania and Ohio are starting to develop their petroleum resources, ironically through the work of Texans, Okies, and Gulf Coast Southerners.

If it weren’t for the artificial market for corn syrup, ethanol, and soy products, the Yankee Corn Belt would have collapsed, and Northern farming in general, with it, in the 1970’s.
As an aside; Because the Yankees control the federal government, Iowa is the model for farming in the formerly “United States.” And subsequently, the basis for all agricultural policy. This, in spite of the fact that California and Texas are the top agricultural producers, and Iowa is something like 10th on the list.

I used to say to Yankee trolls on social media; “Winter is coming, and we can cut off your food and fuel.”
They could learn to like and eat cornbread and soy cakes.

      End Reconstruction. End the War.

    2. What you say is true, but they’re especially targeting the self-sufficient people groups. Recently the FDA came down hard on a Amish man in Pa. with 300K in fines for selling organic produce and meat. They wouldn’t leave Jefferson Davis and the South alone and they’re not going to allow anyone to peacefully opt out of their system of controlling every aspect of people’s lives with social credits and social demerits.

  6. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. Getting rid of the sixteen Northern States will solve nearly all of our socio-political problems almost overnight. Or put them wthin reach of a solution that can be worked out without Yankee interference.

Somehow, the idea that they’d be better off on their own, needs to be spread across the North, from Maine to Minnesota, and from Iowa to New Jersey. Unless it’s their idea, they’ll never cotton to the breakup of “THEIR” country, even though they no longer have the military capacity to do anything about it.

To the average person in Wisconsin or Michigan, the southern border of the “United States,” is the Ohio River, not the Rio Grande. They don’t think this consciously, but they assume it on a subconscious level, without noticing that this is what they think. Just as they mean the North, when talking about the “United States” as a whole. “Across America” ain’t from the Atlantic to the Pacific. It’s from New England to Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois, and to the northern end of the Mississippi River.

The notions are already in place, we just gotta convince the Yankees to take it one step further.

Convince them that they’re better off on their own. Or convince them to unload their thirty-four burdensome colonial territories. Or both.

    End Reconstruction. End the War.
