Allies and Adversaries

We often think of the progressive managerial class as our primary ideological rival…they aren’t. Yes, they are the rabid ideologues, the needle by which the heroin of modernism is injected into our life blood, but they are not the manufacturer of the drug, the “Jefe” so-to-speak. This class of bureaucrat found in both the public and private sectors, think NGO/Corporate HR, is ideological insofar as they believe it is necessary and safe to be. Sure, there are some true believers; however, most of this class, as most of society throughout history, is simply mimicking the morality and rules of the powerful in order to secure positions of prestige, today rewarded with great material comfort.

But of these strivers, those who are normal, Heritage Americans with children, will begin entertaining the idea of passive and active resistance, as the reality of diverse multicultural Affirmative-Action clannish rule begins to predominate. At this time, our job as dissidents is through our writing – to keep a torch lit as these people, being largely uncreative in action and unoriginal in thought, will need standard bearers to provide them with a moral and action-oriented framework going forward. What we cannot afford is to allow ourselves to become parodies of ourselves, turning us into “untouchables.” This requires that we must be better, better than the average citizen in knowledge, rhetoric, and discipline. The Dissident Right must be as discerning as possible, as we cannot afford to fall into “us v. them.” Especially, when we are aligned against the media, every globalist corporate boardroom, and major government offices.

The Dissident Right uses the term “normie” to classify those not in /our thing/. However, we can see from the second Sanders’ campaign that we are not alone in being isolated from our parties’ control room. The DSA and Antifa are far from normies. However, they are not our allies. While I personally hope Bernie wins his party’s nomination for a number of reasons, he is not with us – full stop. And so, we need to honestly dispense with this “normie” nonsense, outside of as a broad, theoretical concept. It is ineffectual as a tactical or strategic concept, instead we need to use a model similar to the one in this chart.

Gender may not be a spectrum, but alliances are. This is a simple, intuitive, and far more realistic model for identifying target audiences particularly within the framework of a two-party system. To use an example of how to use this system (rhetorically) we can look at the fiasco of a response given to Soleimani’s assassination by drone strike. Instead of remaining relatively quiet, or making reasoned arguments, as to the amateurish lack of foresight in a simple assassination (see Mencken’s Ghost proposal of capture and negotiation on Rebel Yell), we saw “Alt-Right” accounts adding Iranian flags to their bios. The absurdity of this behavior boggles the mind. This shortsighted reaction not only worked at alienating our active allies, but also ourselves, neutrals and passive allies.

As most of us are foreign policy realists and believers in realpolitik, we aught to understand action vis-a-vis reaction. Imagine a normal Trump supporter, an “independent” who always votes Republican, seeing one of our guys extolling the virtues of Nationalism and non-intervention, while sporting a foreign flag propagandized as a member of the “axis-of evil” and chief opponent of “our greatest ally.” Do you think he is in any way persuaded to rethink the moral paradigm? No, instead we find among these people a greater commonality with our active opponents of the “non-normie left” who still want nothing to do with us.

“Fight where they aren’t,” so says Sun-Tzu. If war is politics by other means, and the inverse follows, then the Art of War provides useful lessons. Instead of engaging our enemy for support and battling for the title of the True-Anti-war sect, we aught to be persuading those to our immediate right (following the chart) to begin engaging us, than bullying those that have not yet arrived to our ideological persuasion. The status quo is not sustainable, we have, for sometime now, witnessed diminishing returns from some “leaders” and “spokes-persons” of the Alt-Right (or whatever label they fall under now). Following their lead, physically and rhetorically, is ineffective. So, too, has the so-called “tactic” of running head-first into a brick wall. Charlottesville was a disaster. I was there, we’re better than the blame game and we’ve thankfully wizened up with regard to protests, generally speaking, and holding them announced in enemy controlled territory, specifically. But, that is a prime example of engaging the enemy where they are.

Now, this does not mean we abandon self-critique or critique of the National Review-Ben Shapiro types, no. When they act to undermine us, they too enter enemy territory bowing to their framework. We are appealing, as always, not to the writer and politician of today, but their audience, the writer, and politician of tomorrow. And so, the Dissident Right must adopt the maturity to know when and how to speak to every action we take as representatives of our people. And, our ideas are being watched and recorded. Therefore, make it something you want to be remembered for.
