With the insane policies of the federal government being pushed and the betrayal by the supposedly “based” SCOTUS, many White conservatives around the American Empire have decided they’d like to leave it. Nowadays, while expressing my Southern Nationalist ideals, the uproar I hear from Dissident Right folks is asking not to be left out regarding secession. My main response to them is this – I’m not against a massive “Red Union” (as in, Red States vs Blue States), but I do not prefer it for several reasons.
For starters, I want a true nation-state. I want Southerners to be the majority of the population. In a Free Dixie of just the traditional South (from Oklahoma/Texas to Virginia and down to Florida) this would be the case, albeit blacks would be around 19% of the total population. I also want a confederation of sovereign Southern republics. In this, including all Red states (for instance, Iowa or Kansas) would be unfair to the rest of the “Red Union,” as the majority of the population would be in the South. Consider this for a second, Texas, Virginia, Georgia, and Florida would be by far the most populous states. Such a plan would work, but would lack the cultural cohesion that could be possible with just a Southern Confederacy. I also personally feel republics work best with smaller cohesive populations; thus, it would be better for everyone if we split along regional lines while still having some sort of defensive military pact. Therefore, I propose four different “Red-State” republics. Each republic would work to better the lives of its citizens and build a coherent, separate, and unique identity.
The first “state,” in its traditional sense of the word, I propose is a union between Ohio and Indiana. These two states share a common history and background. Both have a mixture of Yankee, Midlander, and Appalachia (Scots-Irish) cultural backgrounds. However, neither can be considered Southern, even if Indiana has some Southern cultural roots. Not to mention both states explicitly sided against the South in our war for independence, which leaves the idea of nation building and a united identity awkward to forge. Having the twin states act as a buffer zone could allow the Southern Confederacy breathing room from Uncle Sam or whatever remains of the United States. This Red-State republic could also easily survive and build an identity with rogue Rust Belt states and their shared borderland heritage. Ohio, especially, has been hurt by outsourcing and thus has lost much of its political power. This proposed union would also have access to two of the Great Lakes, Lake Michigan and Lake Erie, which would aid in trade. In many ways, it would be a Belarus of North America, shielding Dixie’s heartland from hostile nations just as Belarus does for Russia. In fact, a union of the two would be around the same size as Belarus. I could see such a republic easily growing over the years to include Southern Illinois’ “Little Egypt” and the declining state of Michigan. It could even absorb Western Pennsylvania at some point. It should be noted both states have Republican governors who’ve supported Governor Abbot’s nullification of Biden’s orders, despite them both being noted as much more politically milquetoast compared to the South’s governors.
Alaska is another “Red-State” republic I’d advocate conservatives forming. This is primarily a matter of pragmatism, plus the extreme cultural differences, makes Alaska a truly different animal all together compared to the Lower 48. Alaska has a totally different history than the rest of the United States, and especially Dixieland. In many ways, Alaska is a colonial outpost of the American Empire which is used for its resources and position in the Pacific. Its population, as of 2021, is about 732,673, making it practically a non-political player on the federal level. In a “Second Civil War” scenario, it should be noted that Alaska might be in the most difficult situation, as the state is far removed from Heartland America and the South. The Red states of the Lower 48 also lack access to naval power in the Pacific, as the navies on the “Left Coast” are either federal or controlled by the three leftist states. Unfortunately, Alaska faces being totally cut off, but also far removed from the possibilities of civil strife. In many ways, it may make sense for Alaska to build some alliance with its original colonial founders of Russia, which isn’t geographically far from it. In this scenario, an Alaskan republic could build a military and economic alliance with Russia in exchange for protection against whatever remains of the United States, as well as, Trudeau’s socialist Canada. Many claim that if the breakup of America happens that the Russian Federation will quickly seize Canada, but I find this notion ludicrous as Alaska isn’t ethnically Russian like the Donbas. On top of this, Russia’s main focus is Europe and defeating Ukraine. It would be extremely unlikely they’d want to put efforts into a naval invasion of frigid Alaska when diplomacy would be advantageous to both.
The other republic I propose is one between the Trump voter states in the Great Plains and those in the Rockies, like Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. This is perhaps the hardest republic to keep alive, yet the most interesting when taken in full consideration. The majority of this region, like Alaska, has long been a colonial resource outpost for the American Empire. The plain states, from Kansas to Iowa to North Dakota, were set up originally to be an expansion for Yankeedom proper, which for their first years they were. Iowa, for example, voted for the arch-abolitionist Republican John C. Fremont in 1856 and again for Lincoln in 1860. Kansas, of course, was an early battleground for Yankee abolitionists and Southern settlers during the 1850s with the conflict continuing into the War of Southern Independence and even after. Kansas continues its Jayhawking Republican roots by continually voting Republican over the century since its founding. I would argue that the state has a weird mix-match identity of Borderlanders, Midlanders and a Yankeedom strip of counties based in Topeka, which includes Lawrence, a city sacked in 1863 by avenging Southern bushwackers. It should be said most of these states have lost their connection with the liberal and urbanized Yankee East, due to their heavy embrace of every social degeneracy under the sun. Evangelicalism and the region’s remoteness has led it into a political alliance with the South. Some of the political icons of this region worthy of praise would be William Jennings Bryan and Gerald Nye.
Further west, you have the Rocky Mountain states, which have a far more colony status than the more closely connected Great Plains region. The mountain states have been more prone to despise federal and corporate power despite often being crushed due to its low population. This is the region that embraced the likes of Senator William Borah (D-Idaho) and Senator Burton K. Wheeler (D-Montana), who opposed corporations and global war during the 1930s. The region’s colonial status can be seen by just how much of it is “owned” by the federal government. This is especially true for Nevada, which some sources say is around 80% owned by the federal government. The concept of a “Red-Far-West Plains Union” is that they’d be united by their hatred of corporations, which have gone woke, and the federal coastal elites. They could unite over their shared identity of being used as a colony for Uncle Sam and constantly being reduced to a token vote in Washington, DC. The one barrier to this proposed “Red Country” is its lack of access to the sea; however, this could be fixed by an agreement with the Southern Confederacy for trade. On top of this, many White conservative folks in Eastern Oregon, North California’s “Jefferson,” and Washington would seek to join this Red union.
As the United States further declines the likelihood of break up is high. In such a case, a Plains and/or Mountain republic could bring in these states as part of “Greater Idaho” and perhaps a “State of Jefferson” with Northern California and Southwest Oregon. In this, you could have sea access to the Pacific. In time, it’s a possibility conservative Alberta, which has its own independence movement, may seek to join this union to break away from liberal Canada in Ontario. This would add three million citizens to a population of about 19 million, on par with Romania and Kazakhstan. In land mass, this country would be massive.
All these ideas are merely suggestions for those living in these states. They do not care for Washington, DC, yet they don’t have the strong historical and cultural identity that Dixie has. Thus, they should seek to secede and build new identities away from being merely “an American.” As a Southern Nationalist, I encourage the breakup of the American Empire as much as possible.
The more regions and states that seek independence, the better.

O I’m a good old rebel, now that’s just what I am. For this “fair land of freedom” I do not care at all. I’m glad I fit against it, I only wish we’d won, And I don’t want no pardon for anything I done.
There are neither red states nor blue states. There are only mostly white counties surrounding cities full of blacks, latins, and jews. Therefore, I doubt that the current state governments and lines will survive the coming collapse of the yankee empire. States’ rights are already only a distant memory as so many Americans are connected by corporate employment and\or retirement plans. Southerners can only gain independence by building local economies and supply chains separate from the international conglomerates. All great civilizations rise from humble beginnings. City-states of homogenous, aggressive, and innovative people secure and develop their regions first and then conquer more territories by land or by sea. Deo Vindice.
Until we solve the nigger problem, we will never have real stability in the USA. If they want reparations give them a one-way ticket to the African nation of their choice.
Right answer!
Agree with Donald and Lee. We would though, have to have a plan for a region / country / CSA II before even beginning to create city / states.
I agree with you regarding Indiana and Ohio as a successor country to the former U.S.. Add in about 3/4 of Illinois and it would be even better. It would be just about the right size, with rich agricultural land. It would possess the remnants of, and the tradition of, industry and heavy industry. It would have the right sort of people to rebuild such. It would evolve into an ethnostate rather quickly. Indiana and Ohio present themselves as enthusiastic supporters of the Union in the War of the Rebellion, but they had large numbers of Confederate sympathizers and provided soldiers for the Confederate Army. An ex Confederate Army Colonel was elected to the Indiana State Senate in 1866, for example.
Nope. An enlarged all white CSA II ( the full region ), is the only way. To achieve this there must be a vote to “restructure” ( don’t say secede ), America into 5 new Republics. Sold as, “a Utopia for everyone!” The blacks that want an all black Republic get all of Southern California for their Utopia. That makes it hard”er” for too many people to bitch about our all white Utopia. Anything else defeats the purpose and isn’t worth the effort.
* Sell Alaska to Russia and Hawaii to Japan to pay for the “restructuring.”
