The Power of Storytelling, Good and Evil

Oral storytelling has been a long part of human history, especially Western society before widespread literacy. Even after that, the tradition of storytelling has continued to be an important part of society for a multitude of reasons, of which some we will explore today. Storytelling is so important, in fact, that there are strong reasons why our political opposition scrambles to control storytelling (narratives) so much. Stories are powerful, and the most critical element of their power is control – long-term, passive, narrative control.

From a young age, we are brought up on storytelling and mythmaking and those play a part in shaping us, whether we realize it or not. Thus, the nature of a story and, just as importantly, its source are necessary to carefully critique. For thousands of years, Europeans grew up with stories of their culture, history, ancestors, and legends. These stories came from both ancient mythology as well as lived experiences, all of which molded the character of various European societies and peoples. It is what gave them identity and uniqueness from one another, demonstrated which values were placed more highly in their respective cultures, and it is for these reasons we must not only take back “storytelling” but continue to tell the tales and legacies of our people.

The Far Left radicals that actively target us, and even peruse this very article you are reading right now, subconsciously understand what a powerful tool, and in their case a weapon, storytelling is; which is why, over the course of many decades, they have built an invisible empire and created societal mechanisms to continue to tell their desired narratives to shape your subliminal consciousness. From Hollywood to Disney to Twitter, the entire structure is set up to deliver their stories, which is based off their political philosophy – one of destruction. Now, this isn’t necessarily destruction in the sense of a MOAB, but more of a destruction of the mind (and, the soul). It is a fundamental reshaping of the natural identity and subsequent reinforcement of the Left’s ersatz identity throughout an individual’s life, from childhood throughout adulthood, until such a point where the individual is so demoralized that they are now unconditionally programed – the perfect ideological soldier, the puppet on a string, of the Left’s storytellers.

We have certainly seen this play out, as millions of demoralized people have unquestionably towed the ever-evolving mainstream narratives and shunned any further information collection or analysis to come to their own conclusions. At one time, we called this “critical thinking” and it was a foundational pillar on which our Western society was built. For the political storytellers that rule over the American Empire, it is important for them to maintain the ability to tell “stories” to children, especially since they have no frame of reference, no ability to rationally deduce the information they are being given, and no ability to gather information from other sources. This is important for the storytellers to implant ideas and narratives into their heads, particularly of the most degenerate and disgusting variety. All of it is an effort to disrupt and destroy Western society and Christendom.

Storytelling…

When one looks at the cultural media of today, which we use to judge a culture, what do we see? Do we see a society which puts a strong emphasis on tradition, hard work, morals, Christ, the family, building and maintaining a society? The overwhelming answer is “No.” In fact, if you looked at the stories pushed out by the mainstream Left, you would see a promotion of perverted hyper-individualism, one so dangerously extreme as to question if demonic possession plays a role.

Individuals do not build societies – groups of people do. When we put hyper-individualism above society, we put the health of that collective society at great risk, because now it is no longer about the survival of the group but the eventual hedonism of the individual. The “individual” Far Left extremists want you to be, is one that can’t even help yourself because you don’t even know how to help yourself. The stories of our ancestors and mythology are highly offensive to leftists because the core of their political philosophy is a militaristically revolutionary one, wherein the natural world and order are viewed as inherently evil and thus in need for replacement. This is why the Left does not want Christianity in government, why they do not want happy and healthy families, and why they engage in things like cancel culture and iconoclasm.

At the heart of it, they are so manipulated, brainwashed, and guilt-ridden, from people who seek to use them as a tool, a weapon to destroy, that they will betray their own people in a radical zeal to seek approval from their abusers. It’s no accident that, when we observe individuals that identify as political leftists, we see grossly disproportionate cases of mental disorders, physical degradation, and sexual perversion. A large reason for this is the stories which they were brought up on. While you or I might have grown up on tales of General Lee, Billy Mitchell, George Washington, General Patton, and many other impressive real-life figures, they were raised on Harry Potter and stories about gay sex, transgenderism, and all sort of poisons designed to corrupt the mind, degenerate the soul, and create a dysgenic freak.

At the end of the day, while it is easy to despise them for their actions and who they are, you cannot help but feel a certain degree of pity for them. Unwittingly, they believe they chose their path on their own; in reality, they were forced down this path by something else. The question becomes how does one punish a fool that does not know they made a mistake? The Left would consider such a question as unreasonable. However, to us, as traditionalists, we know that there are actions and consequences for everything. Can such people be reasoned with? The answer is sadly no, their minds have been sabotaged by the Left’s storytelling. As always, there are exceptions to the rule, but an exception does not constitute the standard. It is of great imperativeness we tell our stories, lest they tell our stories for us.

God bless you and God bless Dixie.

    1. I’m thinking the authors’ definition of literacy probably conforms to the understanding of most of us: i.e. capable of reading a newspaper. I’m also guessing the ‘fuller explanation’ you hint at is something along the lines of Albert Jay Nock’s understanding of the educable few. According to Nock, anyone who hasn’t read the ancient classics in the original Greek and Latin languages is not educated. That would leave me also among the ignorant and unlearned I’m sorry to say.

  1. Excellent article!

“The “individual” Far Left extremists want you to be, is one that can’t even help yourself because you don’t even know how to help yourself.” Exactly.

Alfred Rosenberg put it this way:

“We call a striving that proceeds from the individual, [with] self-interest as the measure of his actions, INDIVIDUALISM. We designate with the same term a state view which with all seriousness believes that a compilation of millions of individuals could produce a folk, a state or a so-called mankind. Such a state system, upon which our whole democracy rests, necessarily completely lacks the concept of an organic whole. … Hence liberalism (democracy) is nowhere type-creating, nowhere disciplining, but rather always loosening [the bonds of society].” p. 33.

  2. As an author with 9 published books (8 fiction and 1 non-fiction), the “oh, we don’t waste our time reading fiction” or “kids should ONLY be forced to read the classics” mentality of the right has always been deeply disheartening. Sure, most of the classics are “conservative”, but there really haven’t been many great conservative and/or Christian novelists to capture the imagination of young people with epic tales of good vs. evil since J.R.R. Tolkien (Lord of the Rings) and C.S. Lewis (Narnia Chronicles).

As somebody who works in the industry, not only are your fellow authors (your writing support network) most likely far-left liberals, but so are the editors, the entire publishing industry with a few tiny exceptions, the bookstores (both bricks-and-mortar and increasingly online) are far-left liberal, as well as all of the newspapers and literary award agencies that might give a book recognition. Sure, you can self-publish (and in the current predatory big-pub contract scheme, you’d be a fool NOT to self-publish unless you have enough clout to negotiate a more favorable contract), but even then the big tech algorithms, such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, manipulate the data so that conservative search terms wield “approved” choices. Somebody like Glen Beck or Mark Levin who have an established television audience might have enough readers who buy their books to overcome the algorithms, but even popular conservative pundits who have a solid, but not massive, audience quickly get reburied the moment their books start to break the top-100. If you don’t believe me, go to Amazon-owned book review site Goodreads, go into the Booklists feature, and try to pull up conservative books via their search feature. You’ll get far-left lists. And then go to a non-partisan search engine such as Brave and search for “conservative book lists Goodreads” and you’ll pull up a few dozen booklists.

Conservative adults might only be interested in non-fiction, but y’all have abandoned your kids a choice between TikTok or some musty old book written in third-person omniscient voice (in other words, boring as hell). The “industry” isn’t going to let conservative fiction break the top-100 naturally, so if you want more conservative fiction, y’all need to start recommending these books to fellow conservatives yourself.

It gets even worse… The American Library Association and the Teacher’s Unions have total domination over which children’s and young adult books find their way into school and public libraries. The only way a budding modern-day Tolkien is going to get read, capture people’s imaginations, and inspire young people to fight the battle against good vs. evil (or even recognize it’s a battle) is if y’all start reading and buying copies to give your friends and kids.

“We don’t waste our time on fiction…” Yeah, talk about losing the war due to a nail on a horseshoe.
