The Porn Problem

Today, we find ourselves living in a hypersexualized landscape where sexually suggestive imagery is everywhere, where women dress provocatively, and where deviancy is viewed as normal and healthy. With the advent of the Sexual Revolution of the 1960s, as well as, the rise of second-wave feminism (along with its later variations), lust and perversion became rampant and gave way to the morally broken society that now exists. Broken marriages, broken homes, sexually confused children, teenagers, and adults, along with porn addiction are hallmarks of a crippled West.

Because of all this, we have a very serious problem and one which is destroying young men, hurting relationships, decaying the minds of our youth, and poisoning their souls. That problem is pornography. Pornography has always been around, so its apologists tell us. However, our previous Christian civilization heavily suppressed such filth. Today, it is available at the click of a button thanks to the internet. As a result, millions of men surf the web for endless amounts of sexual content and become hooked on porn. It’s an addiction I have battled for several years, and many men are also battling.

Pornography went from something considered very taboo in the 1950s and 1960s, to being among the most frequently searched for subjects on the internet. Due to the current Chinese virus lockdown, porn sites are reporting a massive uptick in traffic. You see, pornography weakens men in various ways and completely destroys their desire to improve or face adversity. Porn is completely debilitating to men and is rendering them utterly useless.

It is no surprise that there have been many complaints made by men about the negative impacts of porn, such as being unable to think, being unable to socially interact with others, unable to achieve goals, and find a real woman. These problems are caused by porn because it makes you completely dependent upon it and science has shown that your brain on porn is akin to the brain of a drug addict. Furthermore, a 2019 study done at Canada’s Universite Laval discovered that the use of porn rewired the prefrontal cortex of a person’s brain to a more juvenile state, therefore greatly damaging their decision making abilities and their ability to control their impulses. Clearly, doing this isn’t good for us.

The fact of the matter is that pornography is a weapon which was foisted against Western civilization to do the damage mentioned above and more. It has become the bane of men everywhere and it nearly destroyed my life. The roots of this vile scourge can be traced back to the 1950s, when the elites sought to completely dismantle the nuclear family with smut magazines and later films.

It was during this period that the sexualization of society began taking place and pornographic content was being proliferated by subversive forces, the most notable being Hugh Hefner, the creator of Playboy magazine. It was Hefner’s Playboy which made erotic images widely available to men for the very first time. Over time, it began finding its way into the locker rooms, bedrooms, and drawers of men all over America. Hugh Hefner was out to erode western Christian values, and he proudly stated as such on several occasions; as a matter of fact, Playboy championed homosexual marriage as early as 1955, and later would publish several articles in favor of it.

In a 2012 op-ed published by Politico, Hefner had this to say about his fight for LGTBQ rights: “The fight for gay marriage is, in reality, the fight for all of our rights. Without it, we would turn back the sexual revolution and return to an earlier, more puritanical time.” This degenerate fueled the Sexual Revolution and helped establish an industry driven by lust and depravity, which later would grow into the modern porn industry. In a 2000 interview, Hefner had this to say about religion, “It’s perfectly clear to me that religion is a myth. It’s something we have invented to explain the inexplicable.”

Now, we have a crisis with our men (and women, but that’s another subject regarding the depravity of “sex work”). Pornography has become such an issue that there are even movements against it such as NoFap which is thankfully gaining much traction, and I must say it helped me with my fight against porn addiction a great deal. My experience with porn has taught me just how effective it is in bringing someone down, and how much psychological and spiritual harm it can produce.

Pornography is a problem that I dare say has greatly contributed to the downfall of masculinity in our age, as men become slaves to lust and wind up as mindless “coomers,” just as our evil elites want them to be. Lust is hard to resist, especially in our time, and I can attest that I don’t always succeed. For those reading this and battling porn addiction, I urge you to turn to God and resist sin. Be a godly man and stand strong against the forces designed to weaken you, do not be idle but rather use your spare time to improve yourself and seek real, healthy relationships.

Finally, we must fight the porn industry as it is causing great harm to our people, and it is also a large contributor to the child sex trade, and has even led to the deaths of numerous of our lost and broken women. It is a great evil that must be purged out of our lives and out of our society if we hope to see our Southland restored. Porn must be banned throughout the South and all attempts by our state legislatures to curb it must receive our full support. Porn addiction is a real thing, pornography is a real problem, and it must be stamped out or else more of our people will fall victim to it. We must end the porn industry.
