A Yankee Tells the Truth in Defending Dixie’s Land

Despised by Yankees and loved by true-hearted Southerners, my book Defending Dixie’s Land has caused a stir.

As a lifelong Vermonter, I have enjoyed beautiful rural scenery, a certain level of independence, and an escape from cities; however, the Yankees that surround me are naive, unbearable, and lost. But I do not wholly blame them; after all, I was once one of them!

Growing up in Vermont, we are taught in schools, homes, and even churches to conform to the modern secular progressive agenda. We are not presented with any alternative viewpoints. The monopoly on thought in Vermont is oppressive. Very few people are exposed to the truth, and even fewer are willing to accept it or take any action.

My pastor once said that when you truly hear and believe in the gospel, there is no need for anyone to tell you to spread the good news; you will do it on your own. There is something about hearing the truth and dispelling lies that gives a sense of contentment, knowing that you are doing the right thing. When the truth about our history was revealed to me, I felt compelled to spread it and share my newfound knowledge with others. Defending Dixie’s Land is about uncovering the truth and exposing the lies that have been forced upon us.

I love how one reviewer summarized it when he wrote, “Like in The Matrix, you have two options: take the blue pill and wake up believing whatever you want to, or take the red pill and see how deep the rabbit hole goes. The choice is yours.” If you are willing to accept the truth you can gain that knowledge, which, as another reviewer wrote of the information contained in this book, “is power.” Sadly, another wise reviewer observed a regrettable truth when he wrote, “Bishop’s book should be required reading in every high school in America. But to paraphrase Colonel Nathan Jessep, ‘We can’t handle the truth!'” Most modern Americans choose to believe falsehood and reject the truth.

Defending Dixie’s Land dispels myths and fables about the South and exposes the North for who they were, tyrannical secular tyrants. It provides readers with the truth and original sources so that they can spread it to others and awaken those who are lost in a dark world. The content:

Introduction

Chapter 1- Look Away!!! Politically Incorrect Information About Life as a Southern Slave

Chapter 2- I’ll Take My Stand – Causes of Southern Secession: The Cotton States

Chapter 3- I’ll Take My Stand – Causes of Southern Secession: The Upper South

Chapter 4- Old Times There Are Not Forgotten – The Union Before Lincoln

Chapter 5- To Live and Die in Dixie – Black Support for the Confederacy

Chapter 6- I Wish I Was in the Land of Cotton – Southern Agrarians vs. Northern Industrialization

Chapter 7- Treatment of Minorities North vs. South

Chapter 8- Will the Real Abraham Lincoln Please Stand up?

Chapter 9- Politically Incorrect Information About Slavery

Chapter 10- The Old Times Are Gone with the Wind

Within these chapters, the actual South and the ugly truth of the North are revealed to anyone willing to read with an open mind. It is an honor for me to write my first article for Identity Dixie. In these times, there are too few Christians who are willing to take a stand against cultural decay. I am grateful that just like the Old South, some people understand the importance of our past and are willing to defend a form of Christendom.

  1. Mr Bishop, I have your book, and have enjoyed reading it.
My great-great grandfather, Benjamin Leonidas Oswalt, was captured by the Yankee army in December, 1864, and transported (or more likely, force marched) to Illinois, where he died in January of ‘65 in prison, probably from a combination of starvation and pneumonia. He had been defending Dixie’s land, and his north Mississippi home against the invading devils known as Yankees. Abe Lincoln got what he richly deserved.

  2. I appreciate your support and am glad you enjoyed my book. I am sorry to hear about the tragedy that befell your great ancestor, but take comfort in knowing that richly rewarded and is now in a better place.

  3. Love books like this. Perhaps you could get ( Youtube ) : Abbeville Institute to let you speak on it at their next gig? If you really want to help Dixie, write a masterpiece on how to restructure America into 4 or 5 new Republics, ours being an enlarged all white CSA II, and promote it to Kingdom come. With all that’s happened in the last 10 years – and especially the last 3 – you’ll have a very large audience … especially if you can convince them to read this current book first. Without presenting a solution, we’re all just whistling Dixie on the deck of The Titanic. Godspeed sir.

    1. Hi, sorry, I regret to inform you that I have no answer to our problems. The federal will not let anyone go without a fight, and the technological gap between “we the people” and our government is too large to bridge.

Due to damage caused by multiculturalism, democracy, and government education, hundreds of small republics or isolated counties may be necessary instead of only four or five republics.

    1. Yes and no. We MUST have an enlarged all white CSA II … the rest of the cancerous country can be divided up in 2 o3 or … 10 other Republics. You might be onto something there?

      1. The CSA you speak is no longer made up of those true to the Old South, rather, they are largely reconstructed Southerners. But God has worked miracles before….
