Cooler Heads Always Prevail

This whole nonsense over the Coronavirus continues unabated and at a fever pitch. I have, for the most part, been ignoring it despite Boomers insisting I should listen to them. These are same people who under their watch destroyed what was left of Heritage America and the South. Pardon me for not lining up to kiss their feet.

This virus is, in essence, nothing more than a hyped-up flu. Really, that’s all this is. Panicking about it, as the general public and our grossly incompetent government has, is ridiculous when more people die from many other things and at a much larger scale. Destroying your economy and ensuring that your people are permanently unemployed over a flu panic is what fragile societies do. That’s what we’re experiencing right now.

One of the reasons we are in this shaky economic situation is not because of the virus per se, but the media. Traditional media is thankfully dying a slow death due to the internet age, as they are no longer the sole purveyors and controllers of mass information. This is why they must discredit and, if possible, shut down alternate forms of information – that either challenges or exposes their narratives. We are well aware of why their viewership is the lowest it’s ever been and continues to decrease sharply.

It is because of this that they must stir up panic, despite the people it hurts. They need eyeballs and what better way to do that than stir up a firestorm? Yellow journalism is alive and well. If the outcome is to destroy Trump, they’ll take whatever route is necessary to do so. That’s what their doing now and wrecking the country is part and parcel of undoing Orange Man.

Eyeballs means more people are watching, which means they can charge more for advertising slots and make more money. Getting asses in seats and tuning in is all that matters to these people, aside from being progressive ideologues. It’s a disgusting practice, frankly. It’s not about actually providing anyone news, but selectively filtering and twisting things in such a way that gets more people glued to the tube. What we have now is 24/hour flu-apocalypse and you’re eating it up and making them money.

This is why I’m pissed. Because of the panic, I lost my job. And, a lot more good people are going to lose their jobs, too. I’m an aircraft mechanic and my profession is hurting badly right now. As it stands, two airlines are permanently going out of business, the majors are grounding a majority of their fleet or have already grounded ALL of their fleet. The fact is, the airline industry is significantly pressured right now and it was hurting even before the Coronavirus situation.

There are many reasons people fly. It’s not just for vacation or to go visit some place. Businesses need to move people, items need to be shipped, and virtually everything is somehow tied together. It’s not just the airlines, but it’s airports that employ members in the community, it’s the suppliers who furnish things to all involved (at every level), it’s the people who run ground operations from security to baggage handlers. Everyone is feeling it and there are no brakes on this train. The panic is much worse than the cure.

The last thing you do in a crisis is panic. Panic has led to this. Panic has directly impacted the lives of others. Some sit at home with their future in doubt, others have already lost their jobs. And, the current system cannot handle this dysfunction.

If there’s one thing my training in the Army taught me, it’s this – you don’t panic when a firefight kicks off. You take cover, assess the situation, and counter-attack. If you don’t, you die. It’s that simple and the same concept holds true in any crisis situation. Sure, we aren’t talking about catching a bullet, but we are experiencing a metaphorical kind of death. Much in the same way that the cattle pasture and farmlands of Florida have been bought out and transformed into now empty shopping plazas or suburbs. Things are being destroyed that cannot be easily replaced.

This is the real world and this is real life. This is not a meme. Your hot takes mean nothing to a man that can’t provide for his family. The non-stop news coverage of our impending collapse mean nothing to men with nothing to lose. Constant press conferences mean nothing to someone that just closed their business and their dreams. Panic has very real consequences, especially where the citizenry drowns in debt and lives paycheck to paycheck.

For the powers that be, it was never about the future, it was about the present and how much money and power could be gained in the short-term. That is how, piece by piece, our domestic economy was torn down, the majority of it shipped overseas, and the rest converted to debt and retail services. In turn, that devolution left communities destitute of skills and real capital and goods all over the South and Heritage America. Rich hedge fund “companies” and creditors raked in the cash directly into their Brooks Brothers suit pockets, while the average person got sold down the river. They do not care about their country or their fellow people.

There’s a striking difference behind the motivations that drive leftist versus rightwing ideologies. Rightwing ideologies are, at their core, deeply patriotic and paternalistic. And, the Right understands reality, while the Left favors abstractions. All one needs to do is take a step back and look at policies that the respective sides most vocally support during this pandemic. One side realizes that we must focus on ensuring that chaos and anarchy don’t spring up (via economic collapse), the other side thinks we’re all going to die and is hastening the panic (in reality, pushing the likelihood of economic collapse). You can, generally speaking, throw in the fringe elements of White Nationalism with Panic Gang.

The only thing that will stop these panic cycles is through victory. Victory in the hearts and minds of our people, victory in the polls, and victory in institutions. We must retake everything because, one way or another, things cannot and will not be able to continue as they do now. The South will rise again. And, while many of us may have been born too early to explore space or too late to turn the tide at Gettysburg, you can be sure you’re right on time for what’s going to come next.

Deo Vindice.

God bless you and God bless Dixie.

  1. There’s another famous German aristocrat who comes to mind during this contrived panic – Baron von Munchausen.

Thanks to the past few decades of movies and shows dedicated to disease/infection programming they have hundreds of millions cowering in fear. Let’s run the list:
    Omega Man
I Am Legend (the shitty diversity hire redux)
    Outbreak
    Contagion
    28 Days Later
    28 Weeks Later
    The Happening
    The Walking Dead

Were these movies designed to be benign entertainment? Hell no! The fruits of their labor are finally being reaped. People are convinced that the media that constantly lies to them – and politicians who constantly lie to them are telling the truth about a common cold. Walking around with their Coolie masks and nitrile gloves at no less than six feet apart.

The rubes have been duped yet again. Enjoy your pallet of toilet paper and Munchausen Syndrome.

    1. I see you have also noticed the social conditioning as well. You should see the look of shock on peoples faces when I tell them I don’t watch tv.

  2. “And, while many of us may have been born too early to explore space or too late to turn the tide at Gettysburg, you can be sure you’re right on time for what’s going to come next.”

I think that has some serious memetic potential if it can be condensed a little bit.

  3. Always remember, Otto, ‘no pain, no gain.’ There will be a LOT of pain that goes along with “retaking everything.” Never forget that.
