How the American Political Left Lost Its Strategic Advantage

For years, the political Left held every advantage over the political Right. In large part, that is due to the fact that the political Left very effectively shifted the battleground away from the political Right. What had previously been a fight over cultural norms and national identity, became fully engrossed in economics. This is due to the fact that the American political Right was boxed out of these arguments – until now. The tide is turning. As the positions of the American political Left begin to hit home, a tsunami of anti-Cultural Marxism is building within the United States. The Left, as evidenced by the actions of many parents throughout the United States, has lost the strategic advantage.

To begin, the Left was able to dominate the Overton Window of social discourse because the Right surrendered it.  In so doing, the Left weaponized the sensitivities of female and minority voters.  Once the Left built a coalition, it was able to impose profound changes upon American society.  Any challenge to those changes became harder and harder to articulate – until the political Right capitulated.  For example, ending segregation was contrasted by images of Bull Connor, consequently enjoining support for segregation as violent oppression.  Another example was the exploitation of the self-imposed AIDS pandemic to solicit sympathy for homosexuals.  In one generation, we went from calling someone a queer in the locker room to LGTBQ+666 and sexually explicit books in middle schools throughout the South.  In two generations, we went from “separate but equal” parallel societies to a complete war against the functional civilization built by European and American peoples – with corporate sponsorship seemingly supporting that dismantlement.

The American Right chose that which they perceived to be the safe ground of economic arguments.  After all, the Right theorized, fiscal concerns could unite socioeconomic blocs of working class and elites in a power sharing arrangement, in order to galvanize resistance to the Left.  If you could peel away just enough suburban soccer moms, who are concerned about their material comfort, you can build a coalition to check the power of the “rainbow alliance.”  This led to a situation by which the American political Right was cornered into arguments over taxes and spending.

It is hard to solicit emotional support for arguments over taxes, but emotional support is necessary to gain an advantage in an increasingly democratic republic.  Thus, in years within which a war was present, such as the 2004 presidential election, the American public supported the incumbent, George Bush.  In large part, the election became a referendum on National Security (an issue that solicits emotion).  In 2008, when the Iraq War was largely over, the Afghan War seemed to be going well, but a financial collapse was occurring, the election shifted back to economics.  Constrained to argue on their chosen ground, the Obama team exploited the static Republican position on “taxes,” and further emotionally manipulated his historic candidacy.

Furthermore, as the “Right” supported the foreign outsourcing of jobs, the working-class began to abandon the two-party system that rapidly became indistinguishable from one or the other.  Both sides supported endless wars and cheap trinkets.  This lead to an economy by which veterans would come home from Afghanistan or Iraq to Walmart jobs, selling crappy goods for minimum wage, while being told their White race and heterosexuality were badges of privilege.  No one fought for them.

This pattern continued both nationally and locally, while leftists advanced their culturally transformative agenda through policy and local activism.  Suddenly, by 2016, the ascendance of Donald Trump took the Republican Party by surprise.  Discussions on taxes and spending were subordinated to the emotional arguments surrounding Nationalism vs Globalism.  Incapable of understanding what was going on, both “Never Trumpers” and hesitant Republican elites found themselves with an uncontrollable base.  Unlike their worlds, the American people knew “something” was wrong – but they just could not put their finger on it.

While Republicans, like former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R, WI-1) openly withdrew support for the Republican candidate of 2016, American working-class voters were watching transgender story hour, hormone suppression therapies, anti-White radicalization, and a host of other degenerate positions taught to their children – all with Department of Education funding.  Desperate for someone to take the fight to DC, they embraced Donald Trump.  For his part, Trump was a failure regarding their social concerns.  As much as Trump talked, he did nothing to walk back many of the more extreme leftist positions, such as the continuation of entertaining so-called transgendered children.

Meanwhile, throughout the Trump Administration, the Left became emboldened and increasingly more empowered.  What started as unchecked, violent protests during his inauguration in January 2017, intensified by the month.  Entering August 2017, law enforcement writ large chose to embrace the Left and abandon the Right, as evidenced at the “Unite the Right” Rally in Charlottesville, when they pushed lawful rally attendees into unlawful, violent communists.  Thus, the summer riots of 2020 were not a new phenomenon; they were a crescendo of sorts.  The police literally kneeled in submission to ultra violent, leftwing mobs.

In the summer of 2020, while Trump literally did nothing to stop the violent riots occurring throughout the country over the death of a violent criminal crackhead, normal Americans watched in horror.  The AntiFa went from a fringe name to one in which normies associated it with gratuitous violence.  Soccer moms who had BLM signs in their front lawns only a year earlier, took the extraordinary step of looking into the extremist positions of Black Lives Matter.  At the time, the McCloskeys (an affluent White couple in St. Louis) were surrounded by a violent BLM mob, Mark McCloskey was offering – voluntarily – free legal counsel to indigent black defendants.  The Left began targeting their “White allies” for extermination – along with White (READ “Functional”) society.

The Left maintained its strategic advantage, exploiting the Covid pandemic to prove that White people were beaten down into a gelatinous, compliant mass.  Mask mandates and shut-downs became the new mantra of the transformative Left.  Meanwhile, the Republicans continued to have no answer for their so-called ideological opposition.  Why? Because they could not process arguments beyond their myopic economic framework.  Over thirty years, the Republican Party was reduced to “muh taxes.”  The Left, consequently, annihilated the Right in 2020.  Then, something happened.

At some point, a small group of parents in Loudoun County, Virginia, began paying attention to Critical Race Theory (i.e., White people are evil).  Simultaneously, the State of Florida began electing secessionist candidates to positions of political power – forcing the DeSantis Administration to embrace anti-vax/anti-Covid restriction positions (DeSantis was originally “pro” restrictions).  Meanwhile, the Texas Nationalist movement has emerged with extraordinary strength.  At present, 66% of Southern Republicans support secession.  States throughout the South are passing legislative restrictions on abortion and adolescent transgender child abuse.  There is clearly a social re-awakening that is grabbing the Overton Window back from the Left, without Republican support.

The Left owned the Right because it made its social positions about emotional “love and support,” but they overstepped their boundaries when they made their positions about “accept or perish.”  Suddenly, a grassroots movement has emerged challenging these social positions.  The Republican Party, as usual, is thoroughly unprepared to understand or accept this shift in the zeitgeist.  But the Left does not realize it has surrendered its political advantage, either.  Overnight, the Left lost its strategic advantage because it pushed way too far, way too fast.  If you do not believe me, ask Bill Maher, an avowed leftist, who has complained openly about this shift.

A broad American movement, but especially a Southern movement, has emerged to fight the Left.  That is not unique.  The South has always been the break-wall of leftist political and social change.  In fact, as long as the South remains in the United States, it will save the rest of the U.S. from itself.  That is both good and bad.  Southerners should try to carve out their own path from an alliance of states that is no longer wedded to its own understanding and embrace of functional Western society.  At the same time, leftists will not let them go.  Consequently, you now have a number of hardening positions of rebel states.  As an example, for the first time in Florida history, registered Republicans outnumber Democrats, and polling shows they overwhelmingly support anti-leftist political positions. Similar seismic shifts are occurring throughout Southern states that act as (often unfortunately) sanctuaries for political and social dissidents.

In sum, the Left is dead – it simply does not know it.  They overplayed their hand and, in so doing, they have built a grassroots movement of resistance.  The establishment political parties have no idea, either.  They are standing on the sidelines of something they cannot control, while the real political battles take place at school boards and town councils.  Beginning on August 12th, 2017, in Charlottesville and culminating in January 6th, 2020, in Washington, DC, the Left is ceding ground daily to an increasingly organized resistance.  Soon, I suspect businesses will feel it, too.  The current leftist “Vax Mandates” – pushed by Big Pharma allies of the AntiFa – are awakening even more normies.  This fight is not yet over, but the tide has clearly turned for our side.

In the next few weeks, three big trials will determine whether I am right or I am wrong: the UTR Civil Trial (upon which free speech and lawful general assembly are being argued), the Rittenhouse Self-Defense Case, and the McMichaels/Arbery Self-Defense Case.  The latter two cases speak directly to Western concepts of justice and due process.  If all three jury cases end with “not guilty” verdicts (civil suit: “not liable”), as I suspect they will (I think the UTR trial will end in a split decision), it will be a stunning blow to the Left – which made its highwater mark with the obvious election fraud of 2020.  The fact that juries (READ normies) may determine that a variety of right-wing defendants are innocent would be an indication that the moment is now ours.

The Left lost its strategic advantage when it pushed too hard for socially transformative positions that ran contrary to the needs of their complacent supporters.  The Overton Window is now definitively in the grasps of the political Right.  Now is time to use it effectively, thoroughly destroying the LGBT and anti-White agendas that have dominated political and social discourse for the past decade.  They lost it.  Let’s take advantage.

  1. A great summarization of controlled opposition, as always great writing.

I used to think Republicans were just bad at their jobs and wasted years of my youth supporting them, then when the truth became obvious, although we did not understand why, we gravitated towards Ron Paul because it seemed that he got it. Then that was turned into the Tea Party by RINOs who tried to use it to cuck us, they tried to funnel us into voting for Bob Dole and Sarah Palin of all people. Then we moved on to Libertarians, which quickly became subverted do to the “big tent” idiots just as they had in the past, then onto ANCAPS and more subversion, then finally it became clear to me I was a Southerner, although I did not understand the history, I knew this system was designed to control us, not actually function. Now here we are.

I don’t share your optimistic outlook, I believe you give people far too much credit in not knowing what they were supporting when I know for a fact that they were aware all of those social issues were just a pretense for power, they knew, they knew it the entire time. Black people knew AL Sharpton was a con man, they didn’t care. Fags knew that they could get married and enjoy all legal benefits as everyone else through civil unions, they did not want that, they wanted power, they knew. Mexicans will not miraculously all of the sudden become Americans through magic stolen dirt, they did not care about that or being free, they want money, period. Women did not want equality, they wanted power over men, they knew that the whole entire time, they knew. Yankees absolutely knew what they were doing and do not utilize the system they created to enslave us on a daily basis without knowing that is what it’s purpose is. None of them cared about the flimsy pretenses, they were just as aware as I am that they were pretenses for power, and they wanted it, not freedom, not equality, money and power. How many times have we given “the right” power over all three branches? How many times have we said the Overton window was ours forever? How many time have we said, “That will be the last straw” about some issue or another and now passively watch as our son’s are forced into dresses, hormone blockers and sex changes? There is no line in the sand if that isn’t one.

It goes on right down the line and nothing has changed and never will. Hardline Marxists control every aspect of our society, they don’t care for the options of cattle anymore than I do and that is why they won. Voting is coping. Demographics are destiny my friend, period.

Thanks for taking the time to write for us again.

    1. Thank you, as always, for your continued readership and excellent contributions to the discussions we cover.

Regarding whether or not to be optimistic, I take a Southern Nationalist perspective: anything that erodes confidence in the current United States is a benefit to those of us who seek a free Dixie – a removal from the current globalist political order. More and more Southerners are waking up. It will get worse, for sure, but I see more reasons for optimism lately.

  2. Nice and optimistic. But I am not so sure the Left lost the strategic, or any advantage. They still control the government, education, and media, plus Fortune500 made the Devil’s bargain with the Left. They understand, far better than the Right how to gain power – and to keep it. We might see the massive “red wave” coming 2022 elections, but what will GOP do with that? Do you really place your hopes in Mitch McConnel or Lindsey Graham…Rubio? Look, although not a bad strategy, conservatives pander to the non-whites, just as much as the Left, but the worse part is, they still pander to the Chamber of Commerce (the biggest open border proponents) and they don’t stand up, the way Left unapologetically does with the members of their party. Gosar is nowhere near as radical as Jeff King was, yet he is facing censure, and I am sure the GOP will go right along with that, even though it could as well be a career-ending move. We know, because of the fear of being labeled, and always on the defensive, they are the best at “canceling” their own.

    1. Thank you for reading and the subsequent commentary, Dixie Serb. That is greatly appreciated.

Whereas I we agree – the Left holds all the mechanisms of power – I believe they are losing the people. Recalling the early 19th Century Irish Nationalist movement, the British controlled all of the mechanisms of power in Ireland. But it was not until their ham-fisted approach toward the Irish rebels of the Easter Rising that they lost the broader support of the Irish people. When that happened, the War of Independence from 1918-1922 manifested. I think we are in the 1916-1917 phase of that trajectory arch.

  3. Sounds good, but nothing will come of this if the Jewish Tapeworm is not removed from America’s bowels. It’s really a one-issue fight. Jews out!

    1. Hi, I see these sentiments are common among the Right, but I would disagree. Even though the majority of the Jews are behind every “progressive” agenda and the anti-white narrative, the was the majority of the “Liberals/Leftists) are the Whites themselves who aligned themselves with them, and often exceed the self-hating anti-white rhetoric. We also have prominent Jews who are clearly on our side and are just as viciously targeted by the ADL and the MSM. Stephen Miller is even more demonized than Trump. They have even books about him calling him a mastermind behind Trump’s s ” White Nationalist Agenda.” Then we have Mark Levin and his book “American Marxism” where he covers, what he called the Frankfurt school, mistaking a “Franklin school” but overall he gets the REAL threat,(although sometimes clumsily as I noted) and more so than any GOP politician. We have to be careful, and realize, although a good number of Leftist Jews, see this, and want to turn it into a sectarian conflict, when in fact are amid Ideological warfare.

      Regards!

    2. Hello Ghost Who Walks,

I fully understand your sentiment. I think the bigger issue is the lock upon the South that is Dispensationalism and Israel worship. It makes many Southerners blind to the threat that is Judeo-Bolshevism. That needs to be the target, first. Removing Jews writ large will do nothing to ameliorate the broader problem that blinds the South from their ideological enemies and their goals.

      God Bless,
      Padraig Martin
