You Need to Tell the Truth to Sell a Lie

Plausible explanations for things that actually happen are branded as conspiracy theories by a media complex that imposes absurd conspiracy theories on mainstream discourse. This is the most disturbing congruence of our times.

Conjecture that it’s being done on purpose in order to undermine the sanity of the general population isn’t unreasonable. However, perhaps a better explanation would be that we’re subjected to the discourse of pathologically dishonest people who simply can’t help themselves by at least being truthful some of the time.

For example, if your media network was forced to spend months covering the mayhem of Antifa lunatics setting everything ablaze from furniture stores to courthouses, after over 100 separate fires breakout across 10 states, would you rule out their involvement in all of it before the ashes even cool? Who would think that makes their coverage seem credible? Certainly not competent liars.

It’s not hard for the average person to envision a drug-addled nutjob eager to put a bullet in somebody’s brain taking a bic lighter to a patch of dry brush. According to NPR, that’s the exclusive purview of “far-right conspiracy theorists” even though the same article admits an investigation hasn’t been conducted.

The NYT calls it a “false rumor” in an article citing 3 law enforcement agencies in Oregon stating the deadly Almeda fire was arson perpetrated by unidentified suspects. One wonders if these hacks have any self-awareness.

Meanwhile, Domingo Lopez Jr gets busted in Portland for starting seven brush fires and was in possession of a Molotov cocktail at time of his arrest. He was one of several arrested for arson in various places. There’s a group of people who’ve gained notoriety for the use of incendiary devices and they’re not Trump voters.

The point here is that if you’re unwilling to make any concessions to reality, the credibility of your bullshit suffers as a result. You can’t tell people that what they’re seeing isn’t real. When everybody sees something, you’ve got to call it for what it is, so that when you’re lying to them about something they don’t understand, they’ll be inclined to believe you.

This phenomenon of the MSM being unwilling to admit to anything it finds unpalatable, no matter how obvious it might be to the public, seems more like a collective psychological disorder than a propaganda tactic. If it’s an actual tactic, the purpose would seem to be self-defeat.

  1. Antifa is certainly responsible for nearly all of the fires, if not 100% of them. However, from the mugshots it is clear that the bulk of the fires weren’t directly set by actual communists, but by junkies the reds hired as mercenaries.

  2. This is the mayhem that The State wants, but can’t legally conduct itself.

You can’t spell Antifa without ATF. Seriously, do they think that people’s memories are so inadequate they can’t remember the ATF incendiary device used in Waco?

Or the fact that the U.S. Army Combat Applications Group was attached to a domestic “law enforcement agency” and allowed to conduct military operations against U.S. citizens.

Just like ISIS used to mean Israeli Secret Intelligence Service.

Global warming is ridiculous, these fires are as deliberate as the ones that preceded them.
