The Latest Narrative Update

I’ve been covering Russia’s Special Military Operation in Ukraine since it began over three years ago. One of my consistent points is that Americans, as a collective, have drastically misinterpreted what they’ve been seeing the entire time. This has stood in sharp contrast to perspectives I’ve received from the rest of the world, such as Arabs, Africans, and Chinese.

Americans are unaware that 82% of the world’s population lives in countries with no quarrel against Russia and a perception of American foreign policy that ranges from skeptical to extremely hostile. They’ve got their own lives to lead, and most people aren’t very bright or inquisitive. Ignorance is the default state of affairs. So, we as Americans get led from one colossal disaster to the next by literally the exact same Jews without learning any significant lessons or gaining further circumspection.

I’d never expected the officer class of the U.S. military to be above self-congratulatory peasant morality. In fact, this is what I’ve been living through my entire life. However, I’d initially expected that field grade officers would be able to apply the disasters which have unfolded over their careers towards critical thinking about what transpires in Ukraine.

The reality has proven utterly to the contrary. I’ve found the implications to be confirmatory to my biases and yet also deeply disturbing. It’s also been very frustrating to me on a personal level. Watching people whom you know and value never learn is like banging one’s head against a wall I suppose.

My coverage has always emphasized how the official Western narratives are false. Concordantly, I’ve been pointing out that they’ve been continuously updated as the conflict hasn’t proceeded according to the predictions of the narratives. The central point of consistency has been that the proven falsity of a previous narrative made by an individual or organization never impinges upon the credibility of their current narrative.

My theme for a couple years now has been basically that nothing will be learned unless this escalates into America losing World War 3. Case in point, a long new piece in the New York Times which claims to provide revelations about America’s direct involvement in a war against Russia.

This is a paper worth reading if you want to consume the official narrative on an event and the programming received in the heads of people with intellectual pretensions. Years ago, I had the print edition delivered to my home on the weekends.

Anyways, this bombshell article lays out the latest narrative couched in the admission that America had been running the war in Ukraine the whole time. Let me summarize:

The US military and the products of its industrial complex were initially an incredible success at thwarting Putin’s invasion. Gradually, the Ukrainians began to screw this up by doing things their way, high on the lopsided victories America had helped them achieve against the inept Russians. Finally, Trump has arrived to drop the ball.

So, now we have the MSM’s endgame narrative of the conflict. Notice this is totally different than the first one, that Russia’s economy and invasion would implode overnight due to Putin’s nefarious ambition. Now everyone can go on believing we’re the unbeatable military equipped with the best stuff, driven by the righteousness of our cause. Nothing is learned and the next catastrophe awaits.

It’s no coincidence that this has been rolled out now that it’s clear Putin will negotiate for the sake of international optics but never agree to anything strategically favorable to Russia’s enemies. This leaves two possibilities: Putin forces Ukraine to accept his terms or seizes Russia’s objectives in a Ukrainian collapse.

When Trump was allowed back into office, coverage implied that Trump would eventually be able to force Putin into an agreement which freezes the conflict. The MSM could never call Trump’s bluff to spite him on this one because it would be an admission that they’d been lying all along, and thus Putin holds the cards. Now, they’re getting to enjoy his absurd bluster:

The MSM will find its delight where it can. Trump was allowed back into office to get rid of the Ukraine problem so America’s military apparatus can focus on Israel’s top priority in the Middle East. There’s much more scale to Iran than Ukraine in many ways. This won’t be like Iraq and Afghanistan, which were two small shows running at the same time. Whatever happens in Ukraine won’t sink Trump’s presidency because it has to end. Trump supporters would accept him blaming the mess on Europe anyhow.

The real problem for America is that a military which can’t learn a myriad of lessons in a proxy war against Russia is heading towards paying the price for them in a direct war against Iran because it won’t fold against America just like Russia didn’t fold.

This could be compounded by the fact that Trump seems to have believed many of these narratives about the success America achieved against Russia with our military equipment and prowess. This set him up for the current embarrassment over Ukraine, but it could lead to even worse with Iran.
