It has become something of a meme, but it is indeed true that the American ruling class is very old. Sure, Joe Biden (81) has dropped out of the race, even if he remains president, at least for now, but Schumer (73), Donald Trump (78), Mitch McConnell (82), and Nancy Pelosi (84) all remain. Kamala Harris is being treated as if she’s an injection of new blood but, in reality, she’s hardly young. She is currently 59 and will be 60 before the election. To put this into context, just 24 years ago, George W. Bush was 54 when he was first elected, and he was hardly seen as a particularly young president at the time. So, yes, not only is the Empire’s ruling political class old, but it has also been getting older over the past decades.
Memes aside, this is one of the most important developments in the history of the United States. Far from just being a case of Boomers refusing to give up power much to the frustration of Gen Xers and Millennials, it is actually a sign of an empire’s last days. The Soviet Union suffered from the same geriatric rule. The ruling class of the Soviet Union during its decline was comprised of people born under the Tsar or during the very early days of the Soviet Union. Much like Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev was 54 when he rose to power in 1985. And much like Harris, despite not being young by any reasonable measure, Gorbachev’s rise was considered an invigorating force. And the rest of the Soviet ruling class was even worse. In the 70-year history of the USSR, Gorbachev was the only ruler to be born after the Soviet founding.
There is a very good reason the Soviet ruling class was so old during its last days – the only people who truly believed in the Soviet ideology were the people who were alive during its early days, with its false promises to rid the rule of oppression. But during its terminal stage, it ran out of those people; all that were left were subsequent generations that knew those early communist promises were as empty as a Potemkin village. The Soviet system offered nothing but brutality, corruption, and suppression. And when the older generations finally died out, leaving nothing but generations who found the Soviet promises laughable at best, the entire system collapsed.
A similar situation has arisen in the United States. There is a reason why so many of the ruling class came of age before 1970 – that was the last generation that largely believed in the promises of “America.” They lived in an overwhelmingly White country with a thriving middle class. They had every expectation that if the United States went to war, it would win. Traditional heroes such as Christopher Columbus, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, and Robert E. Lee were near universally admired. Christianity was seen as an indispensable societal bedrock.
But those who came of age after 1970 have faced a far different reality. We live in an era of White demographic decline, and with that, increased cultural and physical attacks on Whites. We have known nothing but a decline in middle class fortunes – at first slowly, but then rapidly. We have never known the United States to win a significant war, with the sole exception of the Persian Gulf War, and even then, the American military had very limited aims. Meanwhile, Columbus is now considered a brutal colonizer, Washington and Jefferson are evil slave owners, and Jackson was a slave owner and Indian killer to boot. Lee is now the quintessential traitor in American (Yankee) culture. Nothing else is needed to be known about these men. And far from being a bedrock of civilization, Christianity is viewed as a societal cancer that is openly mocked and ridiculed.
The United States in the 2020s is much like the USSR in the 1980s – it has finally run out of people who actually believe in it, and it has now ceased to function. Despite whatever smoke and mirrors the Empire can throw up, if anything, the current situation of the American Empire is even worse than the late-stage Soviet Union. Although the Soviet ideology may have been well passed its “sell-by date” in the 1980s, at the very least, ethnic Russians still demographically dominated the nation. Hence, when the Soviet experiment fell apart, they could fall back on the old Russia – the one of the Tsar and Orthodoxy. This has all taken years to play out, and the old Russia appears to be slowly reemerging from the ashes of the Soviet Union because, despite the horrors of communist rule, they did not demographically destroy the country. But this is not true for the United States. The United States has suffered one of the greatest demographic shifts in human history, especially during peacetime.
Unlike Russia, the United States has no such luck – the rapid demographic shift brought on by the 1965 Immigration Act and the unholy alliance between anti-White activists and Big Business to replace the old demographic core of the nation has created a point of no return. Thus, in contrast to Russia, there is nothing for the United States to fall back on. The only solution left is to entirely reject the concept of the United States and build an identity around something more permanent and less abstract: a Dixie identity, not an American one. It is only through an explicitly Dixian understanding of our nation can we recover.
The United States has nothing to offer us. Whatever one might say about the old American Union, either before the crushing of Dixian independence in 1865 or Southern home rule in 1965, that Union is gone and is not coming back. It has shifted too much to ever bounce back to sanity and normalcy. With Dixian nationalism, we can survive the coming collapse – because the South is a nation not based on ideology, as in the case of both the Soviet Union and the American “propositional nation,” but one centered on blood and soil, of a particular people living in a particular place. The United States is in its last days, the problems of the post-1970 order have finally caught up with the Empire.
But Dixie, by offering a new vision and one more similar to the ethnic nationalism of Europe, can thrive.
The United States is dead, long live Dixie!
Amen to that! Very well stated, sir!
On point! In Dixie’s land I’ll take my stand!
An honest question: given that the South has taken even greater amounts of third world refuse than the north, to survive wouldn’t it have to expell those hoards? And if it can do it, why can’t the entire US do the same? Don’t get me wrong, I want the Southern states, and all states, to have full sovereignty, but I don’t see why they couldn’t all do that and make a truly (with secession spelled out as a right) VOLUNTARY union.
Attention, y’all !
This problem of the older generation passing away is here in the South too!
The older Southern people follow the principles of “higher power”, “family”, and “culture. The younger generations very often do not. I have often read something like this: “We live in Southern Virginia and our children now live in Washington. their way of life has nothing in common with us anymore”!
Today’s youth often believe in “progression”. [no one seems to ask the Real Question: just *what* are we all progressing TO?!]
Soon, the old guard will be gone and the younger Southerners will pick up the torch.
The blind leading the blind. These younger generation people very often do not believe in the “higher power”, in any form. “secular humanistic Socialism” is what many of the very radical young generation believe in!
The South has a kind of the “upper hand”, though. At the heart of the Southern tradition lies the knowledge and the belief in God. Something Greater than them, at least. Many youth hold their life compass very close to their iron belt buckle thus as there is nothing greater than themselves, their belief systems are only self-centered.
Wake up, Southerners! Your last great generations are soon to leave. Your younger generations must be taught the positive ways of Southern tradition and culture, or else nothing will be transferred over to them!
[there are actually writers who tell us that ALL nuclear families must be dissolved! Then everyone will be free of the old group thinks and thus free to love everyone equally!]
The *real* radical people even wish to have babies taken from the mother at birth and raised by the government. Thus no cultural imprinting will occur except for the system beliefs of secular progressive humanism socialism!
