It’s Like They’re Not Even Trying

Apparently there is some kind of rally going on tomorrow in Washington DC. The named purpose of this rally is to protest the treatment of political prisoners from the January 6th protest. In a sane world, the people who entered the Capitol would be issued misdemeanor citations, asked to pay a fine and be sent on their way, at most. Unfortunately, we do not live in a sane country.

In this country, the full weight of a multibillion dollar police state will come down on people for taking selfies in a building they paid for. Hotlines will be set up for neighbors to rat on each other. Facial recognition software will be used on footage from every social media site and security camera in the area, phone records will be subpoenaed, social media companies will be asked (and will enthusiastically obey) to help identify the perpetrators. Cancer patients who at no point entered their nation’s Capitol building will be left in a cell for six months (and counting), denied treatment for the aforementioned cancer, and left to rot. At the same time, we see the police state shrug in depraved indifference when favored groups rampage through city streets and cause billions of dollars in damage. Armed felons attempting to murder minors somehow become victims when the minor fights back. Charges against literal bomb throwers are quietly dropped by district attorneys once the news cycle has moved on, and usually said bomb throwers are released on an easily affordable bond or one that can be paid for by a well funded group designed for that very purpose.

In the face of such inequities and abuse of fellow citizens, one might be motivated to attend a rally to protest against such injustices. This is an awful idea. As we have seen virtually every single time it has been done, no good comes of “right wing” rallies or mass protests in the U.S. The aforementioned police state and their goon squads use these events to gather their enemies into one place for easy doxxing and physical assault. Another thing to notice is that each time, the effort to disguise the fact that the event is an astroturfed event solely to entrap, assault and abuse otherwise innocent people is less and less. The organizers know the police will not release the prisoners they protest on behalf of. The Federal police currently holding these harmless protestors went so far as to not allow sitting members of Congress to see said political prisoners. This is instructive in that if members of Congress aren’t allowed to see retirees who wandered around a building they own, the actual ruling class has less than no interest in the opinion of even lower levels of dirt people.

Even Marjorie Taylor Greene, none too shy about taking a stance on something, will be avoiding the event. President Trump, according to the liars at The New York Times, thinks the event is a set-up designed to make him look bad. It should be noted that this is “according to sources familiar with his thinking.” Their blind, bitter hatred of Trump was outweighed by their laziness, in that they couldn’t even be bothered to pay someone who is tangentially connected to Trump to say the line so they can quote an “inside source.” He will also be avoiding the event. It should give one pause when a guy in the WWE Hall of Fame thinks attending a public event where he’d likely be worshipped and adored is a bad idea.

Searching for “rally Sept 18” gives a slew of predictable “news” stories in any search engine. “Here’s everything you need to know about the September 18 rally in DC” and “Here’s everything we know about the Sept. 18 right wing rally in DC” are the only two headlines the ruling class gave the media. What is interesting is the first page is full of these dire news stories warning of violence and terror. In fact, the first several pages of results are all the same couple of stories reposted on news station websites. Not even fake right wingers in the employ of the FBI are showing up in search results. The amount of effort to disguise the origins of this astroturfed event is insultingly low. At this rate, the next event will have “brought to you by the DOJ” and will have Merrick Garland as the keynote speaker. The enthusiasm for this event is so obviously fake that not only did the first several pages of search results amount only in leftist controlled websites reposting the articles they were handed by the Press Secretary, the only way to find any discussion of it at all by actual humans was to search Gab specifically. It should not come as a shock that every mention of the event found on Gab warns against attending it.

Law enforcement talking points include grave warnings of violence. Numales in glasses and suits tell us there is internet chatter indicating Jewish worship centers and liberal churches will be attacked while police are distracted. This is what is called “telling on yourself.” In the last several years, every transgression against a Jewish or “liberal” place of worship has been conducted by members of that place worship. The overwhelming preponderance of episodes of “right wing” violence were committed by mentally ill people who, it inevitably turns out, were cajoled into it by Federal agents, or leftists and their numerous social media posts touting free healthcare and Bernie 2020 are memory holed. If there is any violence on the 18th, it will be committed by leftist goons against the few right wingers dumb enough to show up, or by mentally ill people being pushed into something they wouldn’t do with out nefarious, intentional influences.

Inevitably, there will be people with good intentions who have already made plans to attend this rally. The best recourse is to cancel these plans. If that is not possible because of hotel cancellation policies, etc., take the day and spend it visiting historical sites in Virginia. Attending this Sept 18 rally is not protest, it is obeying the enemy’s commands. It is allowing the people who hate you to dictate the location, time, and terms of battle. Refusing to play their game by their rules is true protest. Disobeying the order they give you to step on the rake they’ve put before your feet is true protest. Leaving them empty handed by avoiding their insultingly obvious trap is the truest protest.
