Highway to Hell

I couldn’t think of a more appropriate title for what I’m about to bring to your attention. I can go on and on about tyranny, the need for secession, government that does not represent us, but you already know these things. For me, this is a bit more personal than just that, as it involves the EPA attacking something that very much keeps me sane in this Third World nightmare we call “America.”

The EPA is currently going after the automotive industry, but not the whole industry because that would involve going after the big corporations that lobby and fund them. No, they are going after a very specific segment that should greatly anger any Southerner. And, that is the performance/aftermarket industry.

The EPA has been conducting raids on tuning shops under the auspices of the “Clean Air Act” which, as you most likely know, only goes after “visible emissions.” Or, in other words, only emissions that are within the scope of the very small and limited mindset of the largely brainwashed public. As usual, major industrial and chemical related industries, and even other transportation related industries like mine, fly under the radar even though they are the largest polluters – at least when we ignore the largest polluters in the world like China and India.

The performance industry is a 2 billion (that’s with a “b”) segment of our economy that employs thousands, and right now it is under threat from the Establishment. For those not aware, specifically, the EPA is up to a stunt they tried back in 2015 to kill the performance industry, and received massive backlash to the point they backed off. Once again, they are up to their old leftist tricks.

In essence, what they are seeking to do is make any vehicle you buy illegal to modify for performance reasons. This includes if the vehicle will never even be on a public road and live its life in a garage, then a trailer, and finally a racetrack. In short, no more racing.

Hot-rodding and racing has its roots in the blood and soil of the South, from the days of moonshiners to NASCAR legends like Dale Earnhardt (not his son, by the way). Even now, you can find racing alive and well from local ¼ mile drag strips, dirt track circle racing, tractor pulls, mud pits, etc. In short, octane and motors are in our blood, be it from a father and son wrenching on a project in the garage to formal, organized racing bodies like the NHRA.

All of this is directly under threat right now if the EPA, and by extension the Left, get their way. This cannot be allowed to happen. The methods and tactics are the same that they have used in the past.

A number of our readers may be familiar with how the Left went after the firearm industry by going after manufacturers and gun stores, all while feigning this “isn’t about the individual.” I know many of you reading this are smart enough to know that the Left continues to chip away at our identity piece-by-piece, so as to destroy us.

Firing up the hotrod and heading to the track or car show in town is nothing new to Dixie, and if it dies so does another piece of us. We have to fight every battle and make no compromise because compromise is what got us in this mess.

God bless you and God bless Dixie.

  1. Gun modification, car modification, computer & software modification even land modification are all under constant and direct attack, used as another tool to remove the right of ownership. The only thing you’re allowed to change is your own body, everything else will be rented in perpetuity.
