Today’s Conservatives

In the ever-worsening news cycle of Clown World, one piece of news stuck out to me and it was the embracing of the LGBT talking points by Republicans like Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump Jr. Their propping up of “conservative” trans people like “Lady Maga” is ever more distressing because of the dichotomy presented: “conservative” drag queens are better because they…look more feminine?

National Review cucked on this in 2018, so I should have realized it was only a matter of time until the “conservative” and “right wing” Republicans embraced it in a vain attempt to shake off the “literally Hitler” accusations from the Left (an accusation which has existed since Goldwater and will never stop). Yes, people who not even a year ago were saying drag queen story hour was a disgrace are now happy to have their small children with these people because they are “conservative.” How are they conservative? Well, by merit of asking that question, you’re labeled a bigot and told you’re “just like a Democrat” (you know, the party that wants taxpayer money to fund transgender surgery for prisoners and trans abortion) by the grug-brain MAGA crowd.

I am reminded of a conversation with a former friend of mine from about a decade ago, back when I was still a lolbertarian.  I said that gay marriage was one thing, but gay adoption was another. My friend was furious and called me a bigot, but I stood my ground (this was also before the trans stuff was anything more than a NYC and San Francisco phenomenon, so we didn’t even address that). Based on data we’ve recently gathered on the disproportionately negative outcome of children from gay households, my concerns seem to have been validated. The concerns with gay adoption should also indicate why people oppose the trans stuff. Few people genuinely care if half a percent of the population (GLAAD estimates it’s  3% of the population, but that same link indicates the numbers from states range from 0.3%-0.76%, so the total number is likely closer to 0.5%) wish to dress weird and do degenerate stuff behind closed doors. The main reason for opposition to LGBT issues is because of a desire to raise children in a healthy, traditional, conservative way. The LGBT propaganda is in direct opposition to this.

Your mind on Current Year conservativism.

This isn’t insane simply because the Republicans are so quickly changing what they support (that’s been a recurring theme since before Reagan) but rather the demand to accept literal insanity. If you wish to say a man who talks to himself and defecates on himself is insane and you don’t want to be around him, no one says you must accept that “alternative lifestyle.” If you don’t want your child alone with a person who believes himself to be Abraham Lincoln or a werewolf, that’s perfectly understandable and respected, because that person is suffering from delusions. However, if you don’t want your children around a man who believes himself to be a woman, or even a man who believes himself to be a little girl, you’re a bigot. Now, because a small number of LGBT people are leaving the Democratic party (for non-ideological reasons, based on the website for the Walk Away movement), the Republican party sees these as potential voters, so they abandon any pretension of pushing for traditional, conservative values as a way to get votes from a tiny share of a tiny share of the population.

Transgender people can’t be conservative for the same reason pornographers and drug dealers cannot be conservative. It’s one thing to fall short of ideals in moments of weakness. A conservative man may cheat on his wife in a moment of weakness or have things from his past that he regrets, but the important thing is to renounce and repent of those sins and try to sin no more. Instead, the “conservative” Republicans want for us to pretend this isn’t a sin at all and is in fact a virtue and that we should completely ignore these social issues so we can continue giving low taxes to the Koch brother, giving aid to Israel, and fighting the Forever War.

  1. None of these “Conservatives” are conservative in the Southern sense. They never have been, and they never will be. Just like their ostensible opponents, the Left, they’re just another aspect of Yankeedom’s ideological insanity and instability.

They’re not a part of the Southern political equation, and they don’t deserve our attention or interest.

    1. This is further indication of a point that I have stated multiple times over the last several years:
Nationality trumps “ideology” every time, and even ideology itself is defined by nationality.
A Yankee Conservative believes (in most cases) in abortion , gun “control”/ “red flag laws”, “Log Cabin” Republicans, and many other ideals that our people falsely identify as “liberal” calling cards- why, because they are Yankees.
The remaining Southern Democrats- that exist at some local and state levels in our states- generally reject these things, or reject them to some degree- why, because they are “Southerners.”
If you need proof, look at the current debacle we call the 2020 Primary season.
Pete Buttigieg, the homosexual candidate, was considered a front runner until he was in South Carolina. Not a single news agency wanted to state the obvious- he lost the race because almost all native born Southerners, Black or White, are appalled by the idea of a homosexual president.
Even the Republican Party refused to identify this fact, whereas few Black churches (generally hotbeds of what the media calls liberalism), were willing to host him as a speaker.
What we define as conservative and liberal, as left or right, is defined by what nationality we are. And as long as we are under the control and domination of the Yankee, we will continue to see their “values” inflicted upon us.

  2. One supposes there might be some mite of truth to that, but I ain’t quite buying it, man. I have a really hard time believing that even Tru-Cons are that damn stupid. Pardon my French.

To my mind it is much more likely that they abandon all pretense of supporting or defending traditional values because they are trying to retain the silly “conservative” woman vote. Republicans know that courting the black and Hispanic votes, for example, isn’t going to yield them net-gain enough under the best of hopeful scenarios to swing the elections in their favor. The other side of that coin is that they fear that a relatively slight loss of the silly conservative woman demographic has potential indeed to swing the elections the other way.

That’s my theory at least. But maybe I’m just giving the Republicans credit for being smarter than they really are.

  3. Unfortunately American conservatism is sabotaged by the classical liberalism most people believe.

Eg. If the whole purpose of government is “protecting people’s pursuit of happiness and freedom to live life as they choose”?

What will you then do if a tranny says that cross dressing makes them happy?

We can try to argue that such behavior is self destructive, but people who see liberty as an absolute aren’t willing to make those exceptions, no matter how obviously horrible things get.
