Into The Fray

Once more into the fray men!
It matters little if one falls.
Far better to lie dead in the fen,
Than to run and hide before the enemy.

Than to see his dominion o’er our land,
And despoliation of our herds and farms,
Our wives will suffer neath his cruel hand.
And our children twisted against us.

Who will abandon home and hearth,
When a great struggle may yet save it?
Of precious blood we’ve no dearth,
No price too high when all may be lost.

Our brave brothers proudly went ahead,
They stood fearless before the foe.
Why fear joining the glorious dead,
And disgracing the banner for which they died?
