Australia Is Once More A Prison

The British began using Australia as a penal colony starting in 1788.  The last convict ship was sent in 1868.  It seems that the Australian government wants to return to tradition and turn the whole country into a prison once again, based on the new Covid restrictions.

Their Prime Minister has imposed what is charitably called “draconian” measures to combat coronavirus.  These measures would more accurately be called “Orwellian,” but I don’t even think Orwell could have conceived of a state this totalitarian.

While one could argue that closing the borders makes sense, even Australian citizens were prevented from returning.  The Atlantic well asserted the issues with these restrictions by pointing out that “If a country indefinitely forbids its own citizens from leaving its borders, strands tens of thousands of its citizens abroad, puts strict rules on intrastate travel, prohibits citizens from leaving home without an excuse from an official government list, mandates masks even when people are outdoors and socially distanced, deploys the military to enforce those rules, bans protest, and arrests and fines dissenters, is that country still a liberal democracy?”  That’s the reality of Australia today.  Additionally, you can get fined or arrested for re-entering your country without permission and the military imposing lockdowns in New South Wales.

If you are under quarantine because you’ve left your portion of Australia, the government of South Australia mandates you to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation.  You’ll be randomly texted and if you don’t send back a selfie at the location you’re supposed to be (presumably to keep you from leaving your phone at home), the police go to your house to follow up.  “I think every South Australian should feel pretty proud that we are the national pilot for the home-based quarantine app” said Steven Marshall, a premier in South Australia and would-be face of Big Brother.

What do you do when the state overreaches? Well, you sue and take them to court.  However, as is so often the case, the Australian one rules terribly.  The response to claims that the restrictions go too far was that “It may be accepted that the travel restrictions are harsh. It may also be accepted that they intrude upon individual rights…but Parliament was aware of that.”  That’s a rather odd response, isn’t it?  An action isn’t an unconstitutional infringement on freedom because the government is aware it is harsh?  Does this mean only innocent mistakes by government officials are unconstitutional? It’s also worth noting, for the folks that say that while these laws are unprecedented so are the times, that the Spanish Flu was an objectively deadlier pandemic and nothing even close to these measures (or their historically appropriate analogues) was imposed during that outbreak.

The Australian government is even interceding in the medical field by prohibiting physicians from prescribing Ivermectin.  This is the inherent problem with medicine as it is practiced today.  It isn’t based on results, but politics.  If you oppose the politics, you’ll have your license stripped and validity of opinion revoked.  Of course, physicians could still prescribe and simply misdiagnose Covid as scabies, but that’s a heavy risk to ruin your career.

Everything about the situation is insane. One Australian politician, Daniel Andrews, asserted that people who refuse the vaccine are going to be denied healthcare.  Presumably, it’s because these people are putting themselves or others at higher risk, but this sort of response is not done for any other activity.  The voluntarily obese aren’t denied healthcare, nor are homosexuals denied healthcare for their rampant (far more sexual partners on average and two to three times more likely than heterosexuals to have concurrent sexual partners) and destructive (both physically and spiritually) actions.  I cannot find any data on the difference between the rate of spread of Covid by the vaccinated versus unvaccinated, but I have no doubt that the disparity is far less than the disparity in spread of STDs by homosexuals versus heterosexuals. Even the CDC tacitly acknowledges the reality of that disparity: the rate of HIV transmission in homosexual intercourse is 17.25 times more likely for the recipient and three times more likely for the dominant than for people engaging in normal sexual activity. That being the case, it seems the government is not willing to punish such people for putting society at risk because the government isn’t primarily concerned about preventing the spread of disease, but on compliance with the gay New World Order.

Speaking of the New World Order, an Australian politician even had a Freudian slip and admitted to seeking to create a “New World Order.” Articles were immediately put out to say anyone talking about a NWO is a conspiracy theorist (note: COVID-19: The Great Reset by Klaus Schwab and Thierry Mallert details the plan for the NWO, which you can read online or simply read the synopsis here).  I’m getting flashbacks to when folks said the “Deep State” was a conspiracy theory and then called for the Deep State to remove Trump from office.

Ultimately, these stories about Australia are simply more evidence that the current system will and must collapse. As the U.S. position in the Middle East weakens, so too will the petrodollar, which will mean the USD loses its value.  As the U.S. dollar loses value, so does the influence that the U.S. government has over the rest of the world.  Alliances will shift, agreements will be broken, and yes, a New World Order will emerge.  How this will look is anyone’s guess.  I encourage all of you to get some land in a healthy community and hunker down.  The fall of Rome was hardest felt in the capital.  Those in the provinces who built stable lives had the best chance of weathering the storm.

Do what you can to weather it and pray to God that the U.S. government is too incompetent to impose Australian style measures on us.

  1. Ethan, I’m sure you are aware that private American citizens are the most heavily-armed in the world. The Yankee Empire should know how far it can push its citizenry. There are literally millions of us who will put up with their bullshit. Draconian, Orwellian, Bidenian, Pelosian, and McConnellian measures aren’t going to fly in this country. Far too many of us know how to say ‘no’ and mean what we say.
