Why the Sudden “Non-Endorsements”?

This past week, both the Washington Post and USA Today, arguably the most influential newspapers within the MSM-print sphere, chose not to endorse a presidential candidate. That is not because of a sudden shift in sentiment toward Trump or away from Harris. I believe something bigger is happening. Enter the national security apparatus of the United States.

For those unaware, the national security apparatus of the United States – often reduced to the “military industrial complex” – is a self-serving leviathan and it is in trouble. To be clear, the national security apparatus is not just a military industrial complex. It is an all-encompassing ecosystem of its own. It includes the intelligence services, Congressional districts that rely on military bases for economic or contract activity, and a host of suppliers around the world. It is a massive blob, and it is in trouble thanks to leftist politicians and social activists.

The fragility of the blob was exposed by Putin, Hamas, Hezbollah, and a host of other actors in the past few years. After nearly twenty years of continuous war, an exhausted American public no longer shows an interest in global interventionism. This is happening at the exact same time that leftwing social activism completely realigned a generation of American youth. The vast majority of this generation are unfit to serve, either by virtue of transgender transitions, social justice activism, narcotics, psychotropics, or “body positivity” that led directly to an obesity crisis of monumental proportions. But it gets worse…

The number one recruiting tool for the U.S. military are veterans. For generations, military veteran families have encouraged the next generation of young men to join, train, and fight. I was one of them. Thankfully, that is no longer happening. Veterans – especially White veterans – are no longer encouraging their sons to join the armed forces. That is a problem for a military apparatus that still relies on personnel, even as it desperately seeks to automate warfare. The transition from full mechanization has not yet occurred – as evidenced in Ukraine. A woke system broke the relationship between veteran and “country.” I do not believe that will ever heal.

Still, in the past, the mainstream media, in conjunction with government officials, was able to entice and inspire patriotic appeals to war (unjustified as those appeals were). In 2002, it was “weapons of mass destruction” in Iraq… In 1995, it was the “Serbian genocide of Albanian-Kosovars”… in 1991, it was Saddam Hussein invading “peaceful” Kuwait… in 1965, it was the Gulf of Tonkin… etc., etc. For generations, the mainstream media was able to exploit patriotic passions to overcome genuine misgivings about the real reasons for war. This, coupled with a lack of alternative media, made conflict easier to execute for the American war machine. That trust is now fully broken by an extreme leftwing bias that forced ordinary Americans to seek new sources of news and information. Trust in the media is gone and, with that trust, so too is the ability to cultivate support for unjust military actions. Religion was the other portion of this equation.

For generations, misguided Christians believed in the absolute need to defend a Jewish state calling itself Israel. This led to religious-based arguments for military action when patriotic desires were lacking. Anyone paying attention today knows that very few Americans on both sides of the political spectrum have an appetite for protecting Israel. The group that feels it the most are Jews. Beset by attacks from leftwing, anti-colonialist activists on one side, and rightwing influencers exposing exploitative leftwing Jewish activism on the other, the Jewish people have very few options. No one is coming to their rescue anymore. This dynamic will get worse for them as atheism (often supported by Jews) grows in younger generations. No other global actors have dispensationalist-driven desires to help Israel; lose American Dispensationalist Christians and Judaism dies.

All of this leads back to the need of Israel and the U.S. government to get its citizenry back in line, or the national security apparatus collapses entirely. To get Americans to consume massive amounts of propaganda, they need to reinstall some level of perceived neutrality. The system needs troops, weapons, and money to keep the system floating. All of these elements are gone or going.

The national security apparatus, coupled with the global Jewish community, knows that it went too far. It NEEDS young American boys to fill its ranks. It cannot achieve its objectives without them. Having dismantled trust in the government, elections, bureaucratic institutions, and the media, the national security leviathan and Zionists need solutions to walk back the suicidal operational policies they embraced. That begins with a functioning, seemingly unbiased, and trusted media.

It will not work.

  1. It would almost be preferable for Kamala to win, since a Harris victory would ensure that even fewer people sign up for a cackling witch. A Trump victory would encourage more White men to join a country that is now nominally “more patriotic” when the end result of them being sent to die for Israel remains the same.

  2. I will disagree with the idea of “patritotism” as a driving force to joining the military. It is to some degree indeed, but the main reason stands the way it was prior to WW2 and even today—to escape poverty. The southerners weren’t more patriotic, but as one of the first victims of imperialism who never enjoyed economic reconstruction after the Civil War (for example, the way Germany or Japan did after WW2), they were the poorest. Today it applies for the Blacks and Browns who are outpacing whites in the recruitment. Just as the working poor whites, who were the victims of the trade policies, are the victims affected even more. Regarding Israel, it’s a necessary outpost to control the M.E. and thus the oil-producing countries to keep the prices down for the American consumer and the economy. The interventions across the globe are to control the resources and the market. The excesses of the first-world countries (mainly the U.S.) need to be kept affordable.

  3. Another spot-on assessment.
In the end, pride is the usual stumbling block. They went too far and that damage cannot be undone. Binding fellowship with our Southern brethren is needed now, more than ever, to weather the storm that lurks on our horizon.

    Thanks again, Padraig.
