Pushing Back Against the Indoctrination

It seems that we are regularly bombarded by attacks upon Southern heritage, history, Confederate flags and monuments, and often hear such ignorant comments as, “Confederates were traitors,” “Democrats are the party of slavery, racism, and the KKK,” and the favorite one, “the Civil War was fought to free the slaves.” Oh, let’s not leave out “segregation and Jim Crow Laws.”

Well, while trying to keep this article within a respectable length, these issues will be addressed, with links to other articles.

Let’s start with, “the Civil War was fought to free the slaves.” First of all, nobody was trying to take over the U.S. government, so we have never had a “Civil War.” Some more appropriate names for it are, “The War to Prevent Secession,” “The War Between the States,” “The War to Prevent Southern Independence,” and my personal choice, “The War of Northern Aggression,” because that is what it was. Had Lincoln not invaded, there would have been no war.

So, the South fought to “protect and perpetuate slavery,” while the North “fought to free the slaves.” At least this is what has been indoctrinated into most Americans for 150+ years. The problem with this is that it doesn’t make sense for the North to be “fighting to liberate slaves” while there were slave states in the Union, with over 429,000 slaves (1860 Census). Also, West Virginia was admitted into the Union as a slave state during the war. Lincoln also countermanded General Fremont’s orders and had emancipated slaves returned to their owners in Missouri. You can’t be “fighting to free the slaves” while you have slaves yourself and re-enslave ones that were emancipated. It just doesn’t add up.

Plus, Lincoln himself stated the war was not about slavery, but to “put the flag back.”

Lincoln actually invaded the legally seceded South in order to continue the collection of excessive and unconstitutional taxes. No part of the country is to be taxed for the benefit of another, yet this is precisely what was taking place with the South paying 85% of the federal revenues, which went to benefit Northern railroads, industry, and banks, with the South getting very little in return. This is called wealth redistribution.

We are not taught in school that it was the New England Yankees who worked the slave trade, on ships built by slaves, and flying Old Glory on their masts. No Confederate flag ever flew on a slave ship, yet it is called the “flag of slavery” and a “racist flag,” while Old Glory flew over slavery for over 80 years, but gets a free pass. Seems a bit hypocritical, to say the least.

The idea of Confederates being “traitors” is absurd. They legally withdrew from the Union they had voluntarily joined. Three states: New York, Rhode Island, and Virginia, upon ratifying the U.S. Constitution, specifically stated that they reserved the right to reclaim the powers delegated to the U.S. if they felt at any time that they were being harmed. A right held by one state is held by all. Also, no Confederate was ever tried for treason. President Jefferson Davis spent two years in prison waiting for what was to be “the trial of the century.” U.S. Supreme Court Justice Salmon P. Chase said that no Confederate could be tried for treason because, by the Constitution, secession is not illegal. He said that what was won on the battlefield would be lost in court. What would the families of all those dead Union soldiers have to say about that, if the case for fighting to prevent secession was lost in court, which it would have been? Also, if secession was illegal, why were bills submitted in the U.S. Congress, during the war, to make secession illegal? None passed.

Comparing the two political parties of today to what they were in the 19th century is comparing apples to oranges. The Democratic Party was the party of conservatism at that time, and the Republican Party favored big government.

Also, thinking that the original KKK was the same as that of the 20th and 21st century is, again, comparing apples to oranges. The original KKK was a necessary organization to defend citizens, black and white, from the terrorist Union League. This KKK not only consisted of whites, but blacks as well. It was disbanded in 1877.

While the “evil South” gets all the blame for segregation and Jim Crow Laws, the fact that these originated in the North somehow gets left out of the history books, Hollywood, and the media. The fact is race relations were really quite good in the South before Occupation (Reconstruction). If they weren’t, why were there not any slave insurrections during the war? The men were away fighting, defending their homes and families from an invasion of murderers, looters, arsonists, and rapists. Nobody home but old men, women and children. Seems like a good time to slaughter whites.

Let’s not leave out “the South fired the first shot.” Did it? Well, that is what we are taught. Let’s look at the article below.

It should be evident after reading through these links that a lot of history has been left out of our “history books.” The victors write the history. However, if you research through the Official Records: War of the Rebellion, the atrocities committed against Southern civilians are well documented, and I understand there is even a book out now that covers this subject. Also, nothing in those records says anything about the war being fought over slavery.

During the horrors of Occupation (Reconstruction), Northern school teachers, and preachers, were sent South to start the indoctrination process. Here we are, over 150 years later, and the seeds they planted have produced bumper crops of indoctrinated sheeple. What is particularly sad is that so many Southerners have swallowed this mythology and turned their backs on their heritage, history, and ancestors. The result is a tsunami of cultural genocide sweeping away Confederate monuments, forbidding the display of Confederate flags, and removing the names of Confederate soldiers from schools, parks, streets, and military bases. Ridding the country of all things Southern and Confederate is not the ultimate goal of the Marxists and globalists. We are just the “low hanging fruit.” They mean to erase all traces of Christianity, morality, civility, and history from this country. Southerners have long been steadfast in their Christian faith. This was one of the issues leading up to the war due to the Unitarian beliefs of the Northern states. It is up to each of us to do our own research and seek out the truth, because it is not taught in our schools and universities.

I sincerely hope this information will ignite a spark of interest in some, and that spark will grow into an insatiable fire in search of truth.

God bless Dixie!

  1. I’m guessing the book to which you alluded was “War Crimes Against Southern Civilians” by Walter Brian Cisco. Good book!

I’ll only add that there’s a continuing pattern of making up false history by the victors of wars, and for the same reasons as in the War of Northern Aggression: undermining and destroying Western Christian Civilization.

  2. Thank you for all you do! It takes hours and hours of time to research, PRESERVE, and present all this information.
    This is very important!

    Excellent information!

  3. My favorite to call the war is “The War of Northern Oppression”. I feel it is the most descriptive of all.

  4. The President of the United States is tasked with Maintaining the Union, that and the acts of Congress left Lincoln in a hard place. Reconstruction would not have happened if Lincoln had not been assassinated , Johnson was just a mean bastard looking to cause pain to the South ( alot like another Johnson and an assassinated President). My ancestors left the Democrat party over the stance on Slavery, the patriarch leaving instructions to free the slaves (he died before the war) and had served in Congress under the “know nothing party”. His sons obeyed his wife did not. It was not a war of Northern or Southern Aggression it was a war caused by overreaching politicians, like what is coming. Next time lets just hang the politicians. I am not aware of any states PEOPLE voting to Secede but the commissions set up to count the votes did, kinda like what we see to day. Thank you for what you do, Truth is important and history and Heritage are key tools for our future!
