Have you ever met someone that agrees with you on all, or at least most, of the issues and understands the peril of a collapsing United States but thinks there is a way to save this mess? I mean, things have been bad before, but this is ‘Murica, and we’re the good guys and heroes always save the day. They’ll throw out a few wins from SCOTUS and tell you, “See, I told you things would get better!”
Don’t get me wrong, I’m always up for taking the win when it happens. But let’s get serious.
The United States is falling to pieces and everyone knows it, literally everyone. It’s degenerated so quickly that even average Americans notice, and that’s a good thing. Understanding that there is a problem, opportunity, room for improvement, etc. – well, that’s half the battle, right? Not so fast, my optimistic friend.
Most people are comfortable in their present state, even though they scream at the television, Boomer talk radio, or the latest outrage on social media. They see the latest groomer flag at their neighborhood Target or hanging on a house the next street over, and it aggravates the hell out of them. But, they are not going to move into action.
No, their spiritual father is the nephew of old father Abraham. That’s right, they are just like Lot, who loved the pleasures of the status quo. You remember the story of Lot, and the two angels that came to save him, after Abraham bargained with God to save the righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah. Even though immediate destruction was on its way, you should remember that Lot was willing to give up his virgin daughter to the perverse crowd in order keep the peace with the wicked. He wanted to save his guests and was willing to sacrifice his family to keep things comfortable in Sodom.
Respectively, I have some very good men in my sphere of influence I highly respect, some I somewhat respect, others I am losing, and those whom I have lost all respect. They all model Lot’s behavior to some extent.
Example 1:
I have two friends in Texas, true Texans, right down to their boots! You know the type: “Don’t Mess with Texas,” Whataburger, Buc-ees, “Remember the Alamo!,” and they even eat that brisket stuff (which is not barbeque). However, ask them to contemplate secession from the United States, or even Texas Nationalism, and they just look at you like you’re crazy. Their response is usually, “It’s never gonna happen” or “We saw how that ended last time.” Think about the irony. Texas was once part of a foreign nation, Mexico, then some men, unlike my dear friends, decided it wasn’t going to be that way any longer. And just like that, with much bloodshed but determination to match, the Republic of Texas was born! Then, it became a state in these United States and after a little buyer’s remorse, it joined its brothers in the Confederate States of America. Things were one way, and then with some effort, things were different. So, thinking things won’t (or can’t) change is just disingenuous laziness.
Example 2:
I listen to a few podcasts in the Reformed and Presbyterian community. There’s a good debate over Christian Nationalism, yet it amazes me how many men that call themselves confessional, who adhere to the Westminster Confession of Faith or other Reformed creeds, mock men who want a real nation with real godly justice for all men and under what would be generally agreed upon biblically inspired laws. It’s like they entirely forgot the English Civil War, or even what King George III would call the “Presbyterian Rebellion,” although you probably know it as the American War of Independence. These same men mock patriarchal rule in the homes, most likely because their wives make more money than they do, and they only rule their homes on their podcast. I’ve heard them even mock being physically fit, as if that is something not to be desired by all men. These men love to talk about the history of the Church, how this guy or that guy enacted some change, not just in the spiritual realm but in the physical kingdom of Christ on Earth. However, these men will always just be “talkers,” instead of real men that accomplished something against overwhelming odds. These men aren’t doers, they’re comfortable in their little ecclesiastical sandbox, playing with their less than adventurous friends.
With these examples of inaction, let’s look at another part of the Lot and Abraham saga, one most are not familiar with. It’s when Abraham is taken out of his comfort zone, tending his herds, caring for his people, and has to rescue the comfortable Lot (Genesis 14). When the army of the King of Sodom is overwhelmed in battle, Lot, along with other spoils, is taken captive by the victorious kings. Abraham, not comfortable with his kinsman being enslaved, was joined by other men and risked their lives to save Lot; not because it was easy, but because of the respect they had for Abraham.
If getting involved is not your thing, that’s fine, but remember the following words. Most of our fathers, especially those with military training, instructed us with life quotes such as: “Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way,” “If you’re not part of the solution, you are part of the problem,” and “Don’t just stand there, do something.”
Brothers, do not be comfortable and do not listen to the detractors. One day, they will need you to save them from the slavery of the wicked. You will do it, because that’s the kind of men you are, heroic.
Deo Vindice!
God save the South!
Service to God and honor to the South.
Yup. The Right is gelded, thus impotent. It’s Jezzie’s nation right now, and most of her eunuchs self-castrate, even while yammering about The Constitution and Muh ‘Merca.
The neo-cowboys from Texas etc. are no better. All their manly displays but they are ruled by their women, same as the Lefties.
I’ve talked to a lot of ///our guys/// who are right on all the issues, and even refused the “vaccine”, but are none the less like what FD describes in the OP
Two big reasons why, at least with younger people, this is the case are: pornography / masturbation and marijuana
I’ve recently got a friend of mine to stop basement dwelling and go out into public more, and even he’s said that cutting down fo once a week has done wonders for his motivation and mood— he’s no longer nearly as nihilistic about life
It’s all about that dopamine receptor system folks. If you’re over stimulating it, you’re going to have a bad time in 2023
Example 2 is incredibly accurate. The amount of Christian theologians, ministers, and your run-of-the-mill types that advocate just remaining in Sodom is asinine. The men of many words and no action have overtaken everything.
I live in a suburban community that has been socially engineered whereby after 65 years I am now a minority in my own community. I, by birth right am disallowed from applying for minority set aside contracts now and watch business handed to bidders who bit higher than market rate and win the contracts. I have to spend excessively for food because the grocery industry locally has been reduced to two national chain grocers who jack up prices due to lack of competition and a predominant food stamp clientele who could not care less when spending other peoples money in the grocery checkout lines. The government gave the latest grocer 4 million dollars because the community was underserved. My answer is to bug out and pop backup underground to establish parallel supply lines for the remaining inhabitants who established this community building ships, working refinery jobs and securing their fellow citizens with support industries. Now, personal injury lawyers and drug dealers are the top of the food chain, so to speak. Insurance rates for property coverage equals mortgage payments. The FBI comes to town and tips off their preferred rioters thru pastors in their churches that geotracking units are staking out the “protest routes”. Local politicians use breakdowns in law and order to set tax traps for citizens to access so called remedies to problems such as homelessness, juvenile crime, and the biggest socialist pummel tool, uneducated masses of young male juveniles with gang ambitions threatening every form of civil existence known. Jefferson Davis is and has been a good study, but dreaming can not cut it.
