In the world of geopolitical strategy, the number of so called experts or analysts is too innumerable to count. But in the rarified world of actual foreign policy decision making and influence, the list drastically shortens to only a few names. Although not as famous as rival Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski’s term as chief foreign policy adviser to both Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter marked him as a significant influencer during and after the Cold War era regarding enabling and extending America’s superpower status via realist and globalist politics.
