The Mailroom: Honneur et Patrie

Here we have another interesting correspondence from a reader. Although it is cordial, it is more for educational and academic purposes. Elements of the exchange have been redacted for the obvious reasons. Also, note that there is a slight language barrier.

Enjoy, the Editors.

Interview

Sir,

My name is [REDACTED], I am 23 and I am a second lieutenant in the French Army and I study at the [REDACTED] in France. I am currently housed at the [REDACTED]. I am writing a thesis on militias in the United States, and I came across your website that aroused my interest. I would like to know more about you, your struggle and the basis of your commitment to your country. It seems interesting to me to devote part of this social fresco to the identity struggles of a part of the American population. I would be extremely interested and honored if you would agree to answer a few of my questions via a document that I could send you or if we could arrange a video interview. I can understand if you are suspicious, but I am here purely for academic purposes and would be sincerely happy to meet you.
Hoping for a positive response from you,

I wish you a good day,

Respectfully,

[REDACTED]

Identity Dixie Opener

Good morning, sir.

Thank you for reaching out. Firstly, we are not a militia, but a collection of Southern Nationalist writers and podcasters – our content includes politically incorrect commentary, Southern history, satire, etc. If you are interested in our ideology (Southern Nationalism), we would be willing to give you an interview (in writing, via email). If your focus is on the American militia movement, we won’t be much help.

Thanks, and let us know if you have any questions.

Dear Sir,

I thank you for your quick answer and for these precisions on your militant action. I would be very interested if you would answer the questions I am sending you in [an] attachment. Indeed, I focus on the phenomenon of militias but I also try to understand some of the opinions that inspire them. It seems to me that certain protest movements in the United States embodied by militias are based on your ideas and on the principles of Dixie identity. Indeed, the Dixie banner has been seen waving at the Capitol Hill protests. So, I take it that your ideas are having a real impact on these movements. So, I’d be really happy to hear from you on this and to understand what you’re thinking.

If you agree to help me, I invite you to answer the few questions I have attached.

Thank you in advance.

[REDACTED],

Thank you for your prompt response. We usually do not open email attachments, due to the risk of bugs, hacks, etc. Can you please include your questions in the body of the email? In turn, we will review them and respond.

As for our influence on militia groups in the United States, I’d say it is probably fairly minimal. Militia groups seem to cover a wide spectrum of political ideology – from Constitutionalists to Black Liberation. Additionally, our content discourages political theatre, activism, violence (and the threat of violence), and the display of firearms. The inclusion of the Confederate Battle Flag in various militias, including the Jan 6 scuffle, is more of an act (and display) of general defiance to the status quo and much less with Southern identitarianism. At least, that’s our perspective.

Thanks, and let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you very much for your answer, no worries for the questions, they are at the bottom of my message.

Thank you for your adjustment concerning your report to the militias, it is true that this confusion with the flag had let me think that you had an “armed arm” which could have manifested itself during the demonstrations.

Without further ado, here are these famous questions, to which it is obviously up to you to accept to answer or not.

[Series of questions follows]

Identity Dixie Final Reply

[REDACTED],

Good morning. One of our writers has addressed your questions below. When you’re finished with your thesis, we’d like to read it (but that’s your choice). Good luck with your studies at [REDACTED] and thank you for reaching out to us.

Respectfully,

Q&A below –

French Question 1: Could you introduce yourself in a few words?

ID Answer 1: I am one of several contributing content producers with Identity Dixie. Like most of us, I am a middle-class, family man who lives in the South.

French Question 2: How would you describe your militant action and what goals do you try to reach?

ID Answer 2: We do not engage in militant action of any kind. We are strictly non-violent. We are an online publication with articles, podcasts, and social media commentary. We advocate for a peaceful separation of the South from the broader United States. Anyone who advocates for violence amongst us is immediately removed and if we ever felt that an individual is a serious threat to harm others, we would immediately contact the appropriate authorities. Thankfully, we have never had such a member.

French Question 3: What made you want to contribute to the identitydixie.com platform?

ID Answer 3: I strongly believe in the core values of Identity Dixie. We are volunteers who are not paid and yet, we are targeted for our views by individuals that constantly seek to dehumanize us and eviscerate our means to feed our families. Thus, anyone who contributes to Identity Dixie does so at great risk to themselves and their loved ones. One must hold dear our core values to continue contributing to Identity Dixie. Examples of those values are a shared belief in the uniqueness of the South, the significance of family, the need for strong marital bonds, the importance of protecting children, and the Salvation of Jesus Christ. These values are shared by all of our fellow content producers.

French Question 4: Is claiming and defending Southern identity primarily a cultural attachment or a sign of disavowal of the American government?

ID Answer 4: It is a cultural attachment. Dixie has a unique culture, history, and shared experiences that transcend the broader “American” identity. This is why most Southerners view American policies and government similarly, as evidenced in their multigenerational, conservative voting behavior. Southern identity is strengthened by the continued assault upon Southern icons, heroes, and culture.

French Question 5: What are the principles of Southern society as you envision it?

ID Answer 5: We believe in many of the same principles that most of Western Civilization shared until approximately ten years ago. God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are the foundational bedrock of humanity, and biblical Christianity must similarly be conserved. Family is the bedrock of society, and it must be preserved. Law and order are crucial to functioning societies and should be applied blindly and fairly. The environment is a gift from God, and we have an obligation to care for the soil entrusted in our hands. Gender is immutable and people should be encouraged to love how God made them – male or female. No one is “equal” except under the law; we are each different, and we have an obligation to encourage individuals to be the very best they can be through discipline, hard work, and a supportive network. Tradition is the continuation of generational knowledge, passed down from family to family, and should be deeply respected.

French Question 6: Does the realization of your projects necessarily imply a clear and brutal break with the United States?

ID Answer 6: A clear break from the United States, yes, but not a brutal one. We do not advocate violence of any kind. Rather, we believe that the failed United States is disintegrating rapidly on its own. The federal government, once a defender of the rights of personal conscience and unpopular dissent, is now targeting the personal liberties enshrined in the Constitution to voice unpopular opinions. This will lead others to seek a separation of states that will require no bloodshed or violence. We hope that the popular will of those citizens who yearn for a country that once loved liberty will seek the establishment of a separate entity.

French Question 7: What is the extent of your influence in terms of visits to your site?

ID Answer 7: We have several thousand readers on any given day through multiple platforms. At times, we have reached into the tens of thousands. Most often, content drives traffic. We have been de-platformed and censored many times over the years. ID content is prohibited on most major social media platforms, such as Facebook.

French Question 8: Do you recognize yourself in a political party or in an American political figure?

ID Answer 8: We do not. Whereas there are some political actors with whom we agree on occasion, the American political system is irrevocably broken, as evidenced by the targeting of political enemies by administrations regardless of political party. We prefer a separate path. The very fact that there are university programs currently studying Identity Dixie – a group that holds traditional conservative values – while ignoring the extremely violent actions of various Marxist groups throughout the United States, such as Black Lives Matter and antifa, is indicative of a system that is fully broken, regardless of political party.

Thank you and au revoir!

  1. Why can’t we all just get along? For my part I am but a poor, humble rabbi trying to show the world all the love of others that’s found in the Talmud.
    L’chaim!

  2. Answer #8 sums up so much.

The fact that a French butterbar desires to write a thesis on something that exists principally in the haunts of the Narrative mills, cabal PR departments, and permanent State bureaucracy security elements is quite telling about what FUSA is exporting – and how effective it is.

I’m no military man, but I was a Boy Scout, which is a quadrant of the current FBI threat assessment bingo matrix, and based on those years of knot tying I’d reckon he would be better served doing yet another thesis on the Maginot Line and how the hubris of administrative war elites drawn from the social strata upon which war largely excludes is a way to end wars quickly though not quite how those elites might have imagined.

I wonder if he is French or “French” or if he knows the difference.

Sad state, the West. May God forgive us for what we have squandered and grant us his grace to restore some of those blessings such that our grandsons will never don the uniform of our occupiers nor wonder who his people are and whether or not they have a claim to our soil.

  3. There’s a 50/50 chance he’s a paid fed troll trying to get you to slip up and promote violence and / or a claim to influence some odd illegal activity. I think “maybe” he’s legit?

Dear Mr. [ Redacted ] – Your and our governments and military’s have been hijacked by the illuminati. Sadly, “militias” are something that should be part of our everyday ( or at least monthly ), lives, but instead American men’s psyche’s have been hijacked by way over glorified grown men in tights tossing a ball around. While the south and the rest of AmeriKa are falling apart … these goofballs know every detail about “ball” ( what children play with ), and zero about the political landscape, which to police if you will, is their civic duty! Community, part of which would include militias, is THE key to both our situations. Here it would be wise to be deputized under the top law enforcement man in each community. Probably the same for you.
I would suggest building a ‘community’ first, and include in that the top lawman in the area … “then” discuss the idea of “militia” with all the “citizens” ( if you know what I mean ), of the community. Don’t rush. Go slow. And weed out the koo koo’s.
