Baltimore: The Destroyed City

One of the most important tasks for content creators on the Dissident Right is to articulate ideas that resonate with normal folks. This is why I get turned off when someone starts prattling on about what’s ideal or abstract. Plato’s philosopher kings, Von Mises, etc.  It all strikes me as spergy and pretentious. It’s safe to surmise that it’s a non-starter for the average person who’d otherwise be receptive to our messages.

A more productive approach is simply to hammer on how terribly wrong things are going right now and the utter lack of feasible solutions proffered by the people in charge. One advantage is that it sure ain’t hard to do. Another is that it puts the onus on our detractors in Conservatism, Inc (the J-Left doesn’t engage, they just deplatform and attack straw men) to explain why everything they advocate has failed, yet is somehow viable. When you pick this battle, endless ammunition is available and your opponent has already selected his hill die on. Case in point, Baltimore.

On Wednesday, the city government was paralyzed by a ransomware attack that wouldn’t have been much of an issue if it employed competent IT staff. In terms of Baltimore problems, it’s not such a serious concern. Bodymore’s denizens aren’t great at coughing up tax dollars, but they’ve conferred upon it a string of gruesome appellations. For example, it excels in national per capita rankings of robberies, homicides and opioid deaths. The municipal water infrastructure is falling apart since it relies on customers to pay their bills.

Atrocities abound, from mob attacks on White families to idiotic mass shootings. A couple weeks ago, seven people attending a barbecue next to a church and ended up getting served a side dish of lead. Residential real estate is emptying as the tax base continues to erode in a process that accelerated following the 2015 riots. The mayor back then, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, attracted the ire of normie conservatives by declaring that her voters were given “space to destroy.”

In contrast, I wholeheartedly agree that they need space to destroy. They also don’t need us meddling in their affairs and imposing all sorts of rules that they clearly find disagreeable. It should just be someplace far away from me that I don’t have to fund. Lot’s of normal people out there are exasperated enough to agree at this point. If I’m not mistaken, there’s a vast continent on the opposite side of the Atlantic. But, that’s getting into abstractions.

Anyways, she was succeeded by Catherine Pugh the following year. Pugh is now under FBI and IRS investigations into corruption. Her line of “Healthy Holly” children’s books were purchased to funnel kickbacks on city healthcare contracts. Pugh initially fled law enforcement raids while simultaneously refusing to vacate office. However, she eventually resigned at the beginning of the month. This was in accordance with a tradition established by Shelia Dixon, the city’s first mayor of her kind. Dixon vacated office after getting slapped with a 12-count indictment for theft, perjury, fraud and misconduct.

Dixon can be credited with encouraging the white exodus as a city council member by brandishing footwear and shouting at her white colleagues: “You’ve been running things for the last 20 years. Now the shoe is on the other foot.” The Whites who still remain in Baltimore can’t help but notice a pattern. Everybody sees it, but some poor souls screw up and say it wrong like WJZ anchorwoman Mary Bubala.  During a recent discussion on the city’s collapse, she inquired: “We’ve had three female, African-American mayors in a row…………….. Two resigned, though. Is this a signal that a different kind of leadership is needed to move Baltimore City forward?”  And………she’s gone.

What’s so instructive about her defenestration is that if she’d just said “Democrats,” like the trained monkeys on Fox News, she’d still be employed. But, she screwed up and voiced what’s actually in her head, which is what’s in everyone’s head. We gain a lot of traction by simply addressing what we’re all thinking in basic terms because nobody else is willing to do so. There are plenty of cities run by Democrats free of wanton slaughter because they have different demographics. Baltimore is plagued by violence because it’s full of Blacks, just like every other urban area that’s full of Blacks. This is plain-as-day obvious. Just say it.

All conservatives can do is blame Democrats, claim they’re the real racists, lament the soft bigotry of low expectations, or intone that people should be judged according to the content of their character. Maybe they’ll bring up “urban enterprise zones” or some similar BS. No one but libertarian spergs take it seriously. They absolutely can’t address the real problem because that would require contradicting their ideology and losing their jobs. In contrast, all we have to do is be honest and point out that there’s no way to fix a city with Baltimore’s demographics. The only way to do that would be to shift the Blacks to someplace else, killing it instead. It doesn’t require a IQ in the triple digits to appreciate.

A city for exclusively for ourselves is not a complicated or opaquely-philosophical point of contention. The average person implicitly desires this even though most won’t admit it.  You don’t have to be a philosopher or historian to appeal to the basic instincts of your peers, one of them being that they’d rather not deal with these people even if they cheer for them on sportsball TV.

Keep it honest and simple.

  1. I didn’t get a chance to comment to this article yesterday, but let me here belatedly say, “hear, hear!” This is a subject I probably wouldn’t otherwise care anything about, but of course, as you say, virtually no one is stating the blatantly obvious on these matters. I’ve written about the rampant problems in Baltimore City numerous times myself, most recently a few months back. My recollection is that Baltimore is approx. 67% black and 71% non-white. We all know what that means whether we care to admit it or not. It means the same thing it means in Memphis, Atlanta, East St. Louis, Detroit, et al. As to the minority white residents of these cities, I take it that many of them need a “Robot” to accompany them at all times exclaiming “Danger, Will Robinson! Danger, Danger!”
