The False Religion

In the wake of George Floyd’s death, various groups are kneeling for eight (8) minutes, which is longer than any moment of silence for a tragedy in recent memory. They spend at least eight (8) times more in silent devotion for a dead criminal than for the thousands who died in 9/11 or other such tragedies. However, devotion to the god of anti-racism must be demonstrated.

I was struck most by this when I saw Dan Cathy, the CEO of Chick-fil-A, say white people must repent of their racism and shine black men’s shoes. I shouldn’t have been surprised. This is the same man who abandoned Christian charities like The Salvation Army. As soon as I saw the video of Cathy bending down before the black man, it hit me for what this really is. This is not just the tearing down of statues out of hatred for our heritage. It truly is a new religion

On the Dissident Right, we have pointed out for a while that people never truly abandon religion, they just switch from one god to another. This is not a new trend. If you turn to the Bible, you’ll find countless stories where the ancient Israelites abandoned God and instead worshiped wealth or accepted foreign deities, but the most profound instance of this was the story of the Golden Calf. Just as the Chosen People abandoned the God who saved them from bondage in Egypt, America abandoned the One True God and instead put up a new deity.

Because the moderns lack any religious fervor for Christ, they worship the icon of George Floyd and venerate anti-racism. This worship demands sacrifices at every turn and there is no limit to what is demanded. It isn’t just the statues of Confederates or monuments to Old America, but even Jesus has to come down because he’s often depicted as white (though no one seems to mind Christ depicted as another race).

Even church “leaders” are playing into this insane cult. They believe racism is the original sin and this original sin cannot be absolved. You can try to repent of your “sin” of racism and say white people and cops are evil, but your past sins will not be forgiven nor will you be saved. Any person currently chanting “Black Lives Matter” and made an indelicate joke in their past will have that come to light and be destroyed for it. Ulysses S. Grant’s statue was torn down because he briefly owned a slave and that was deemed more significant than his victory in the War of Northern Aggression. Do you think you will be forgiven for your racist Halloween costume from 10 years ago?

People will kneel for the ebony calf and sacrifice their children to Moloch. The firings are bad enough, but consider the absolute horror children must go through in public schools and it seems even more like sacrifices to a false deity. Some atheists reading this may scoff at the religious allusions, but reflect on this: what was the last war America won? Turn to the passages of the Old Testament that precede the great military losses of the Israelites. Before each loss, you can see they had turned away from God. God would use evil nations to subdue His people until they repented of their sin and accepted Him once more. We live in a society in which we castrate boys, kill babies, and procure children for our “allies” for sexual pleasure. Is it any coincidence that America has not won a war since the mass acceptance of the false gods?

It has been almost a century since the last religious Great Awakening (few believe the 4th Great Awakening counts and, given that period coincides with the legalization of abortion and the creation of the concept of “Judeo-Christian” values, it’s hard to disagree).

We must turn to Christ, now more than ever, and stand for what is right. This does not mean giant rallies, but it does mean to resist this false religion at every turn. Do homeschooling or communal schooling, if possible. Refrain from supporting businesses that donate to horrible causes and build up a local community that is firm and self-reliant. Most importantly, give your life over to Christ and live the best life you can.

  1. We must then make up our minds in accepting Women’s Rights to surrender our Bibles, and have an atheistic Government. And especially must we expect to have, presiding over every home and rearing every group of future citizens, that most abhorrent of all phenomena, an infidel woman; for of course that sex, having received the precious boon of their enfranchisement only by means of the overthrow of the Bible, must be foremost in trampling upon this their old oppressor and enemy. Its restoration to authority is necessarily their “re-enslavement,” to speak the language of their party.

But now, what will be the character of the children reared under such a domestic organization as this? If human experience has established anything at all, it is the truth of that principle announced by the Hebrew prophet when he declared that the great aim of God in ordaining a permanent marriage tie between one man and one woman was “that He might seek a godly seed.” God’s ordinance, the only effective human ordinance for checking and curbing the first tendencies to evil, is domestic, parental government. When the family shall no longer have a head, and the great foundation for the subordination of children in the mother’s example is gone; when the mother shall have found another sphere than her home for her energies; when she shall have exchanged the sweet charities of domestic love and sympathy for the fierce passions of the hustings; when families shall be disrupted at the caprice of either party, and the children scattered as foundlings from their hearthstone.—it requires no wisdom to see that a race of sons will be reared nearer akin to devils than to men. In the hands of such a bastard progeny, without discipline, without homes, without a God, the last remains of social order will speedily perish, and society will be overwhelmed in savage anarchy.

    – R. L. Dabney, Women’s Rights Women

      1. You can afford the full set, at least on Kindle. While you’re at it, get Dabney’s biography of Stonewall Jackson, and his Defense of Virginia and the South. Dabney, like Matthew Fontaine Maury, is “essential reading” for any “Son of the South.” Most of whom don’t know it, but they’ll learn it, by the by, if I have anything to do with it. 🙂 P.S. I’ve never read his (Dabney’s) Systematic Theology, but of course it’s on my (lengthy) reading list in any case.

  2. As with any religion, this one has hypocrites – those who kneel tearfully to Saint George Floyd happily dance in street parties called “protest marches.”
