The Weirdo “Right”

Praising China? Admiring Hillary Clinton? Encouraging “White Sharia” and rape gangs to own the women (an older meme, but it check out)? Universal Basic Income (UBI) is a tenant of rightwing ideology, amirite? Screaming about Jews incessantly during a global pandemic? White people are all the same? Unironic Fedposting during a national crisis? Hating the Founders? Praising COVID-19 for its potential for accelerationism? And, finally, anime avatars?

These are questions that normies ask me when they learn my political beliefs. They’re typically just as dumbfounded as the rational elements of the Dissident Right. Unfortunately, I have to explain away many of these questions with, “Those are just fringe weirdos. Ignore them.” But, it’s hard to ignore these cretins when they’re highlighted by our opposition as the “voice” of the Dissident Right. These people sometimes have a large enough following to prove that they, in fact, are directing the “movement.” Perception is reality, after all.

Tiresome.

There’s one very easy observation to spot a member of the Weirdo “Right” – they are dyed-in-the-wool authoritarians. That’s the first nexus point and it helps explain their newfound admiration of Hillary and shilling for the communist Chinese. Second, they’re very transgressive and abnormal, this is well beyond the realm of traditional “locker room talk.” And, this is magnified by online anonymity and the quest for greater reach and internet stardom. Third, they are utterly and completely obsessed with race and Jews; it dominates all conversations and consumes every facet of their worldview. Finally, they have a very deep loathing for their own country and their people. Now, they may object to this final point, but many of the Weirdo “Right” openly celebrate for the hardship and deprivation of their own people. In their mind, pain will route the peasants to whatever en vogue dogma they’ve adopted.

Many of the Weirdo “Right” personalities don’t resemble the lead image with this article. They may appear fairly normal to the untrained eye. However, lurk their Twitter accounts or Facebook pages and you’ll be inundated with the macabre and the unhinged. Everything is a Jewish conspiracy. Everything must be about race, and at all times. We must fight the Second World War over and over again (Southerners aren’t immune to that sort of thing). The race to the hottest (contrarian) take is the quickest way to e-celebrity status. Ultimately, we, you, and all of us must become as unapproachable as possible. This is how we win, or so the orthodox thinking goes.

Genocidal fantasies – Weirdo “Right” mark.

We used to have this “great” football coach back in high school. Everyone loved him and he was a man of impeccable moral character. Unfortunately, despite the words of encouragement and tough players, we had a losing season all but one of my four years of high school. Naturally, the school and Coach split ways after I graduated. In the real world, losing is not an option. Eventually, folks make a course correction because they want to win. They will not follow a loser, no matter how charismatic or seemingly intelligent.

So, rightwing dissidents have a choice – do we continue doing what we’ve been doing or do we make a change? Clearly whining on the internet for eternity is not a winning strategy. Activism doesn’t work, unless you want to be annihilated by the State. Remaining a social pariah and spouting nonsensical, racialist drivel till the cows come home will not win over the hearts and minds of your people. Yearning for punitive revenge on “your people” for not accepting your silly ideology is the mark of a sociopath. Advocating for soft-communism is antithetical to anything rightwing.

We’ve seen these theatrics play out cyclically. The Weirdo “Right” takes an absurd moral and political position, which utterly fails within a few months, and it’s on to new material. Meanwhile, the rank and file shitposters meme along, repeating the approved narrative (without pay, mind you). Rinse and repeat. Move from one failure to the next. No lesson is learned and no objective is obtained, minus further isolation and marginalization. The Weirdo “Right” gains new followers, loses sensible people that wise up to the game being played, and the story repeats.

Ultimately, I suspect many of the Weirdo “Right” didn’t start out as hysterical lunatics. They, quite tragically, did not heed the warning of one of their favorite philosophers, Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche: “Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”

Deo Vindice.

  1. 100%. I stopped following a bunch of these people on Twitter over the last few weeks. I have no problems with a critique of American society, Trump and capitalism but praising one of the worst authoritarian, repressive regimes in the world to own the Boomers is foolish. I don’t think people like Richard Spencer, a completely unserious person who is famous because he was useful to the media as a cartoonish villain, really represent a significant portion of the dissident right but because they lack real jobs and real relationships they have the time to be on social media all day. This gives them the appearance of being a leading voice simply because they are so present on social media.

Meanwhile it is becoming apparent to everyone that China was lying about the number of cases and deaths. So much for ChiCom supremacy.

  2. Even when something is a ‘Jewish conspiracy’ or contains obvious elements of semetic influence, you won’t be able to back that up with citations or historical / Present day context through twitter anyway. As the entire site revolves around the best short & catchy narrative or *funny picture*, so you just end up looking a fool anyway.

Twitter is only a useful medium to spread a narrative once you already have the other systems in place creating a herd minded backing for your arguments on social media sites. The other issue is every time a new technique for spreading a message is applied to Twitter you just give thousands of data analysts at Twitter, FB and actual feds more opportunities to filter through the posts and apply another algorithm for their bots to hide references to certain events or information.

  3. It’s amazing how economically left much of the “weirdo” and younger portions of the fringe right are. I suspect if it wasn’t for the consensus that the left is strong and united in English speaking lands, that many of the weirder characters would openly identify as being left. It doesn’t help that the establishment left automatically labels anything with the slightest scent of nationalism as “right” no matter how little conservatism it may have.

Down here in the land of the pale Latinos, all the weirdos are still identified with the left. It is what I heard the 60’s and 70’s were like back home.

Anyways, with the March unemployment claims out for just about everywhere, it is hard to see what more “accelerationism” the weird could possibly want. The service economy has been shredded, all kinds of financial bubbles are popping, the dollar is being inflated, and the 2007-2009 “financial crisis is already dwarfed by roughly an order of magnitude just a few weeks into this panic with few people at all discussing it.

The rush for contrarian hot takes however has an easy explanation. The consensus is almost always wrong, and the stronger the consensus is, the more wrong it is. Once someone seeking attention becomes enlightened to this fact, the race is on to try to guess which contrarian position best matches the failure of the consensus.

  4. I think in the case of most of the folks you are referring to, you have been overly gracious.

There are two very simple explanations for the truly extreme and transgressive behavior being demonstrated by the bulk of the visible “dissidents” still on twitter, Gab and in the comment sections of sights like Occidental Dissent or persisting forums like 4chan, the 504um, the Stormer Discussion Board.

    1) Absolute maladjustment and stupidity, which is what you would expect from people who are not highly educated or have not held professional jobs that would have exposed them to the reality that they cant just blurt out whatever stupid shit comes into their minds without considering the consequences. This is also what you would expect from people who aren’t blue collar skilled workers who are generally too busy with taking care of their families to have time to shitpost on the internet for 6 hours a day. Whats left after you exclude those groups is an extremely small, utterly toxic group of misfits that no one would take seriously in any real world context, but who enjoy an outsized influence in digital fora because they are loud and can drown out people by brigading and being generally abusive of normal people who when pushed into a corner by these assholes, will just log off and go about their lives, taking their better ideas, common sense, money and talents with them. For this flavor of autists, antisemitism is an intellectual crutch, a lazy way to create circular arguments that cant be defeated in 120 characters. Blaming the Jews is an easy way to avoid complex analysis of the big picture, and ultimately any realization of personal accountability for how things are, or for fixing them.

    2) The deliberately absurd. These would include the irony bros, Feds who are searching for targets to entrap, socio and psychopaths, and subversives like Weev and Andrew Anglin who are intentionally tarring us all with a hollywood persona through their stupid and dangerous behavior. For these people, antisemitism is a weapon, a characteristic so odious to society that anyone of us they can associate with it is assured personal destruction.

In both cases, these people are small minorities in absolute terms compared to the number of who i would call true dissidents. These toxic malefactors are not true dissidents, as they are only going to be tolerated in a society as socially decayed as ours, and would in any healthy social circle be run out on a rail, openly ridiculed or any number of common forms of ostracism that there are a profusion of historical examples of.

In short, these people are freaks. We should treat them as such.

Something those malefactors hold in common is a lack of personal virtue, and systematic morality like you would expect from any earnest Christian. These are substance abusers, degenerates, pagan/atheists (no real difference as the only defining characteristic of both groups is absolute hatred of Christians) and will also include a large number of ex-cons.

I too have largely stepped away from any engagement in this thing because of the personal risk involved in being anywhere near these people.

There’s not enough juice for the squeeze. Anything organizationally that intends to have anybody with any resources or talent or good faith of any kind involved in it, is going to have to solve the problem of how to keep this human detritus out.

  5. I’m not changing.

I don’t have a Facebook, or Instagram, or Twitter. I used to have a Facebook until I realized it was a mass-surveillance/data aggregation platform that I was gullible enough to willingly participate in. And my Twitter was locked because of using the Nazi map of America from Man in the High Castle. Perhaps you knew me as LiterallyHitler.

To adapt to the times I am going to remain true to my own views. Things I’ve actually experienced, things I’ve verified for myself. For instance – I am not a Christian, and a refuse to attend church. Growing up Catholic caused me to have ambivalence towards religion. Yet, I read the Bible, and the Nag Hammadi Library, and the Book of Enoch. I have a deep respect for the Gnostics, Daoists, and Vedics. My faith is between me and God, with no man interceding or interfering.

I dig this site because I’m a natural conservative – even if I enjoy hallucinogens and being a bachelor. But that’s just my deal, I’ve always been an outside cat. Traditional society with warmth, social cohesion, and family is a good thing. I come from a loving family and have many fond memories of Christmas and Easter. But, I’d say many of these alt-Right weirdos of which you speak don’t.

These are dorks who probably never played sports growing up, and even if they did they were terrible at them. They were never any good with the opposite sex at any point in their life. And even if they look nerdy, they aren’t particular intelligent. Somehow they latched onto Conservativism for some tenuous identity even though they would be indistinguishable from their Antifa counterpart.

Even if I’m a Rocky Mountain Yankee I respect old school Southerners for being true to their roots.

  6. Hello lads, I was introduced to this site by the Zman and have visited the Southern and Northen states before on a number of occasions so I have a very, very limited but appreciative understanding of the differences as a Potato Head from Ireland. Congratulations on the quality of content you are able to produce despite the amount of obstacles placed in your way. I do think that regretfully fringe politics, by its nature is going to invite a certain weirdo quota. To critique a grand narrative needs a certain character, and some unfortunately tend to be spergy as opposed to following the truth wherever it leads from an honest perspective. Part of it is also reflective of the American Empires place in the world. Dissident politics in Europe tends to focus on nationality and sovereignty post the second World War and the establishment of the EEC and EU whereas America has, post 1965, been more concerned with race as the old European ethnic enclaves were soflty cleansed by the black migration North and the Hart-Cellar act which created more common ground between the original Anglo, Ulster, German, Dutch etc with the influx of Slavs, Irish, Italians. There’s also the evangelical aspect to dissedent politics. When you are presented with a series of uncomfortable truths that manage to help put a lot of things in context, many have a tendency to spread this new Gospel hither and thither. There’s also the fact that some people just love being privy to a new fact or theory and enjoy the hipsterism of imparting this information in the smuggest way possible. Richard Spencer’s pretty much David Duke 2.0 and seems very happy to play that role, it’s an income I guess.
